I had double eyelid surgery with buried stitches + epicanthoplasty a year ago~ It was the first surgery of my life, so I remember being incredibly nervous. Why is the anesthesia for double eyelid surgery so headache-inducing and exhausting...ㅜㅜ Still, if you can just endure the pain at the beginning, it becomes manageable later. The surgery time was about 30 minutes, I think~ For slightly sunken eyes like mine, I think an outer line makes the eyes look brighter and is pretty good (just my personal opinion) When the doctor was setting the line during consultation, he asked whether it would be okay to do the epicanthoplasty to this extent, and I said it was fine, but I thought maybe the inner corners were showing a little too much.. but after doing it, the Mongolian fold is gone and my eyes definitely feel more refined..ㅋㅋ The result of the double eyelid surgery can’t be completely invisible, but I’m satisfied enough.
I had non-incisional lower canthoplasty half a year after the double eyelid surgery I had that done and then had it reversed. The headaches and dry eye symptoms were really severe..ㅜㅜ I’ve seen a lot of comments from people saying lower canthoplasty just isn’t something you should do.. and I really understood why.. A woman I know also had lower and outer canthoplasty together and said it felt like her eyeballs were going to fall out, and that was after about 2 months.. It’s really the kind of case where even waiting won’t help. I’m satisfied with the double eyelid surgery, but I’ve seen so many people get side effects from lower canthoplasty, so I think you need to be very careful..ㅜㅜ
