I’ve gotten alar reduction injections at several places. 1st round) At Nonhyeon Yonsei Armian, I paid 600,000 won cash for 3 sessions plus a retouch (so, if you count it, 4 sessions) around 2013. Back then, alar reduction injections weren’t common, so I went somewhere that seemed relatively cheap and effective. It was expensive, but it worked. I evolved from a giant bulbous nose to an upper-mid bulbous nose.
And since it seemed smaller, I rested a bit,
2nd round) Yangjae Lamiche advertised so heavily that my trust level dropped a bit, but they had done a lot of contour injections and alar reduction injections and had some follow-up results, so I figured people must go there for a reason and just tried it once. It’s cheaper than Yonsei Armian. Here they call it a nose-sculpting injection and do alar reduction injection + Botox together. I think it was 90,000 won, and since it’s 150,000 won if combined with contour injections, I always get them together. It worksㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I evolved once again from an upper-mid bulbous nose to a mid-level bulbous nose. However, since my alar wings sit high, when the Botox is injected properly, my nose doesn’t flare, and for a few months it gets very, very slightly slimmer. Then later, when the Botox wears off, I go back to get it again^^.. Anyway, it works. But the problem is that every time I go, the person giving the injections is always different ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Sometimes I’m not even sure they’re a doctor...... They come to the bed wearing a mask, just give the injection, and go back to another bedㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ When some people inject it, if the alar Botox is done properly, my nose can’t flare, but the one I got 2 months ago could flare well even right afterward. But the first nose Botox really made it impossible even to flare my nose.. Why can my nose flare freely after the last one I got.. It does seem like they injected Botox, but.. (How do you tell the difference? Later they say the alar Botox is going in, but even if they don’t say it, I think I can tell. When Botox goes in, wow. It really hurts like crazy. It’s the same injection, but I don’t know why the pain intensity is different.)
I think it turns out well only if you meet someone who injects the area properly. But you can’t choose. Because you can’t choose the doctorㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ You go in mechanically, lie on the bed, and they come... You just have to accept it. Still, for me, the effect for the price was best there. Oh, and they said they don’t use steroids there. So I keep going back there.
I got it at a cheap place called Toxmi or something, and ha........... my money....... There was seriously no effect at all. Anyway, that place was a real waste of money.. Maybe it just didn’t suit me... They say cheap things are cheap for a reason.. I’ll just count it as experience and not go again..^^...
Oh right, I think I’ve gotten Lamiche about 4 times so far, as a set with contour injections. I went to Toxmi once and never again.
Actually, these days I’ve been looking into incisional alar reduction, because I think a lot of nasal fat, especially in the nasal tip bulb, has been removed. Since there is the original cartilage shape and the alar wing shape, if you think you can correct that with fat-removal injections, alar injections won’t be effective. But if you’re like me and have really a lot of flesh and think you’d at least be satisfied if the nose flesh were reduced and the nose looked smaller, try it. As an alar reduction injection expert, I can state that it does have an effectㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Anyway, the reason I looked into incision is because I want to change the shape I mentioned above a bit. But after reading alar reduction reviews, I saw that everyone who had the procedure externally, whether semi-external or external, ended up worrying more because of scars, so I just gave up. I was going to do an internal approach, but internal scars seem to be effective only for people whose nasal tip bulb sits lower than the alar base. For a nose like mine, where the alar wing comes down a bit more, even if I do an internal incision, I think the scar would be very visible from the front. Thinking about it, I’d have the stress for months before the scar heals a lot, feeling like anyone who looks at my face is only looking at my nose, and because I’m the queen of sebum, considering the risk that the suturing won’t heal properly and the scar could become large, I’m just not going to do it. Even while thinking, “Even if it scars, they say the alar width will shrink, so I should do it,” I searched only for posts saying there’s no need to worry about alar reduction scars, but to put my mind at easeㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ, a few people, whether brokers or people who genuinely had the surgery, also sent me personal messages saying that unless it’s really severe, I shouldn’t do it, and that the scar problem is much more serious than expected, so I just gave up. I’ll just get alar injections again, ask around to find another place that does Botox well, and leave the rest to shading makeup.
This got long, but lastly, even if you get the injections, if you gain a lot of weight once, the nose flesh gains too, so it can feel like you’re back to square one. For those whose alae are really large, try dieting once. It’s funny for me too, because right now I’m at my highest weight, and since my eyes get buried in fat, my nose looks relatively bigger, and fat is also accumulating on my nose, so I think I need alar reduction. But you know, when I lost weight, I always thought, “Right, when I lose weight my nose becomes normal too, so why did I worry about surgery?” Even if I gained weight again, I told myself to remember that and not think about surgery. But people are like this: once I gain weight, I think, “This nose seems like it can’t be fixed without surgery”ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ But I know. When I lose weight and my eyes get bigger too, my nose doesn’t look that big......... (That doesn’t mean I’m someone whose nose isn’t big but claims it is; my family has an impressive bulbous-nose lineage.) When I lose weight, my buried eyes look bigger, so I think less that my nose looks relatively larger, and when you lose weight, you also lose fat on the noseㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ So for now, rather than thinking about surgery, because I don’t think I can possibly handle the scars, I’m going to get one nose-sculpting injection and diet.
If your alar wings droop or something like that, you’d need surgery, but if you want alar reduction because you really have a lot of flesh on your nose, please really try dieting once and then think about it more. That’s better than putting a knife to it and regretting it for life. Try alar injections while dieting, but!! Avoid places that use steroids. They say the flesh can sink in deeply. I have absolutely no relationship with Lamiche. I want to go to the more expensive original nose-sculpting place with the director who appeared on TV, but it’s too expensive, so I can’t go ㅠㅠ I want to go there. That’s all, I hope this helpedㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Sorry, but I don’t plan to upload photosㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
