I had a full-incision double eyelid surgery at ㄷㄷ Plastic Surgery in Incheon 4 years ago. Because of double eyelid glue + fat on my upper eyelids, every clinic I consulted at recommended incisional surgery. My eyes were originally on the larger side, so I didn’t get canthoplasty. The director advised against epicanthoplasty, saying it would make my eyes look too common. I was a minor at the time, and he said my nasal bones were still growing and told me not to do my nose, so I only did double eyelid surgery. My eyes were already quite open vertically and horizontally, so the change wasn’t dramatic. Just a higher line than a regular double eyelid surgery + more defined-looking eyes. If you look only at the right side, it’s a very successful double eyelid surgery eye, but the left side is a bit strange. It looks like it came undone, but it hasn’t. I went back for revision surgery within 1 year, so it was free, and they redid only one side with three stitches? by incision, but it’s still the same. Maybe the tissue quality of my eyelids is strange. Not having to use double eyelid glue and still having double eyelids even with a bare face is still a good point. The major swelling takes about one to two months, and scars or things like that take about six months to a year. Personally, getting the stitches removed stung a bit.
