My refractive error was minus 15 diopters, so LASIK/LASEK wasn’t possible, but they said lens implantation was possible. Because my cornea was weak, I received laser treatment for a month, and the surgery was done over 3 days. I had one eye done, then 1.5 days later had the other eye done. My first vision was 0.7, and the final result was 1.5 and 1.3. It’s been 15 years since surgery now, and my corrected vision is 1.2 and 1.0. They say it’s permanent, but it’s not absolutely permanent, and I’ve been satisfied for 15 years. Halos/glare aren’t severe either. Seems case by case. Anyway, if you’re thinking about having the surgery, I’m in favor. Quality of life improves.
