1. Why I decided to have surgery I’m about 160 cm tall, and the photos posted here are from when I was around 68–70 kg. (I’m still losing weight.) Even though my BMI is close to obese, my breast size was only about that much... (For reference, I had abdominal liposuction in 2024. I’m planning a revision for that, so I don’t want to write a review. I’ll try writing one when I feel okay about it.) That’s how much I really was one of those people with almost no basic assets. Starting in October 2023, I began going around for consultations, mainly in Seoul, and changed direction from fat grafting to silicone implants. (They said you have to be careful about calcification with breast fat grafting, and although there’s a machine that breaks it up, I heard it hurts quite a bit, so I thought it would be better to just go through the pain once.) 2. The breast surgery method and shape I wanted I had scars left from bromhidrosis surgery when I was young, so I only wanted a transaxillary incision. I preferred the nipple direction to be slightly lifted and perky rather than pointing downward. At the same time, I go to public baths often, so I prioritized naturalness because I didn’t want older ladies gossiping about me. My left breast was bigger than my right. They weren’t extremely asymmetrical, but the amount of fat I could feel in my hand and the shape were clearly different. (Everywhere I went, they said my breast pocket was large, and one place even said up to 500 cc would be possible.) 3. Surgery Moderate Plus, right 350 cc, left 325 cc Transaxillary incision (used the front bromhidrosis scar among the two scars) I also had accessory breasts treated. General anesthesia. When I woke up from anesthesia, it seemed like the surgery took about two hours. 4. Pain and memories after surgery I fell asleep in the operating room thinking, please let me be one of the lucky ones with painless recovery, and as soon as I woke up, I unconsciously tried kneading my breasts with both hands. They were firm. lol The nurses said, “You can’t touch them yet~~~,” so I stayed still. The recovery room was a private room, and my memory is hazy because of the anesthesia, but I think the recovery room was right next to the operating room, so I carefully walked there. They adjusted the recliner bed so I could sit up, and they raised the temperature to keep me warm, but the mat near my feet was folded, so only my feet were very cold. Later another nurse apologized and spread the mat out for me. It got warm and I felt peaceful. I was sad because I didn’t think I was one of the lucky painless ones, but while still in a dazed state, I asked them to put in the pain-control injection, and they said it was already going in. When I said I was in pain, they started giving me a different type of pain-control IV. Even then there was no improvement, so I asked them to give me something stronger. They said there wasn’t really anything stronger, and gave me another type of pain control, and from then on the pain meds started working. From what I remember, I couldn’t sleep and was in pain for 1 hour and 30 minutes until the meds kicked in. I guess there’s a pain medication that suits each person. And thinking about it now, the reason it hurt may have been because I touched my breasts right after anesthesia. I’m from outside Seoul, so I had to go far, and I was really scared when it was time to remove the pain-control line. The doctor, consultant, and nurse said most patients were okay once they got home, and told me not to worry too much and to contact them anytime, even 24 hours a day, if it hurt. They gave me two numbers. I’m very suspicious, so I didn’t believe them and asked them to prescribe me “really strong” painkillers. But antibiotics and painkillers were already included in the prescription, and they said if those still didn’t work, I should take Tylenol, so I felt hopeless. I was worried as I took the train home, but once I was actually on my way home, it didn’t hurt at all. What? Based on many years of surgery experience, I naturally thought it would hurt a lot the next day or on day two, but it didn’t hurt. The consultant contacted me on her day off because she was worried, and I told her it didn’t hurt lol. For now, as the doctor recommended, I barely walked if possible, ate comfortably, took my medicine, slept, and barely used my arms. 5. Week 1 care and the doctor’s follow-up The doctor started checking my progress by asking how I was doing and saying they were very worried, asking whether it had hurt even after I went home. When I shyly laughed because I felt embarrassed and said I was actually fine once I got home, my doctor smiled brightly and said that was a relief, which I appreciated. I think they’re an F type. They said the care had gone well and the swelling wasn’t severe, but that we should postpone the bra for just one more week, taught me how to do light stretching, and told me to receive care before leaving. For the care, I received CAPS and a swelling laser at the same time, and since I came from out of town, they were considerate and let me receive several sessions. I got it in a massage chair, so it was nice because the stiffness from the past week loosened up. For my pelvic surgery, I somehow chose the wrong hospital and had it done at a factory-like place, but here they took care of everything one-on-one, so I felt at ease. 6. My thoughts First of all, as someone who is extremely sensitive and feels every possible sensation, I think this is the first surgery I’ve had that proceeded with this little pain. Whether it’s because my doctor did the dissection well, or because my breast pocket was large, or just because I was lucky, I don’t know, but for now I’m satisfied because there was no pain. Since I was pursuing a natural look, I chose Mentor Xtra Moderate Plus, but I’m still unsure about this choice. Well, I can’t turn back anyway~~ Until right before surgery, I kept debating with the consultant and doctor whether to go with Moderate Plus High (Moderate High wasn’t an option). Then in the end, because of naturalness and nipple direction, I chose Moderate Plus like in my first consultation. I also had accessory breast removal surgery together, but is it originally thick right after surgery? They said it’s because of swelling and that it will swell more until week 2 and then go down... hmm.. No matter which hospital I go to, they say breast surgery results should be judged at 6 months, and I do have an unfounded certainty that the shape and feel will get better, but please look at how it is now.
