I fell while riding a bicycle and fractured my nasal bone.... I decided that while I was at it, I’d straighten my slightly hump nose too. It was annoying to go around to many places, and I couldn’t drag out sick leave from work for long, so I had one consultation in Gangnam and decided to have surgery the same day.
I decided to raise the nasal tip as naturally as possible using only autologous cartilage, without an implant, and the surgery started.
It finished in two hours, and when I woke up from general anesthesia, the inside of my nose felt extremely stuffy. They had packed it tightly with hemostatic cotton.. They said they performed osteotomies on both sides of the nasal bridge, worked on the nasal tip and septum, and slightly raised the bridge area between the philtrum and nose (they basically did everything).
It hurts a lot when I swallow saliva ㅜ (they said this is because of the general anesthesia). When I look at the nasal tip through the bandage, I wonder if they raised it too much.. I’m full of worries, wondering if both nostrils are uneven.
On the first night, because of the stuffy nose, dry mouth, and severe pain whenever I swallowed saliva or water, I couldn’t sleep at allㅜ
On the second day, the pain when swallowing saliva decreased a little.. Drinking water to take medicine is still scary ㅎㄷㄷ Because I was so tired, I barely managed to sleep about 4 hoursㅜ
On the morning of the third day, I’m finally going to get my nose unplugged, and I’m both worried and excited ㅎㄷㄷ As expected, having it opened is good, but removing the packing hurts ㅜ Still, the anticipation of being able to breathe through my nose makes it bearable.
Right now my nose is full of blood-tinged mucus, and I don’t know whether I should blow it out, sniff it in, or leave it alone... I don’t know what’s right, so I’m gently sniffing it in little by little and spitting it out through my mouth ㅜ
