I got revision surgery to make my fatty, dented double eyelids look defined

Even bare-faced, the side line looks clean!>I had my first surgery by incision in 2015. I didn’t love it, but ^^ taking on cosmetic surgery again was difficult because real life was busy and I also couldn’t find a plastic surgery clinic I really liked, so I wasted several years, and this time I finally got revision surgery at a proper eye-specialized clinic and succeeded in getting the double eyelid line I wanted. My concerns were -My upper eyelids were still plump even though I had double eyelid surgery by incision. -The double eyelid line felt subtly angular.. so it looked very obviously surgical. -My eyelashes kept poking my eyes. But this wasn’t a double eyelid problem; it was entropion, so when I was young, I had my eyelashes plucked at an ophthalmology clinic, and these days I had been getting eyelash perms regularly. -The middle of the double eyelid line was pressed down, so I somehow looked unfairly sad. (sleepy-looking + indistinct impression) My first surgery was: incisional double eyelid surgery + epicanthoplasty. That was exactly all I had done, but after consulting at several places for revision surgery, incisional double eyelid surgery (after consultations at 4 places, 3 recommended incision) including fat removal (they said it was needed to remove fat from the upper eyelids!!) +And on top of that, I decided to also get entropion correction to solve my eyelash concern. I had the entropion done at a plastic surgery clinic where insurance coverage was possible, and if I had known this earlier, I might have done the revision surgery sooner. I’m happy that the line was clearly reshaped while getting the eye revision surgery, but more than anything, it was so comfortable because the eyelash poking was clearly resolved. I used to have to go get perms every month at the shortest, or every two months at the longest Now I’m free from that unnecessary expense too. For the double eyelids, I didn’t want the line to deviate much from my original line, but I also didn’t want the line to be set too faintly, so I think I had a really long consultation with the director. Even so, they didn’t gloss over anything I said, and carefully checked everything so the line could come out the way I wanted. Maybe because of that, the line seems to have settled well into a thin but defined double eyelid, just as they held it during the consultation. They say revision surgery requires more courage than the first surgery and that there’s more to look into. While doing consultations this time, there were places where I had to lead the consultation myself, and places where it ended in 2 minutes? 3 minutes? if I didn’t ask questions, so there were times I felt disillusioned, but still, when I went to a one-doctor eye-specialized clinic, I met a director who was even more sincere about eye surgery than I was, and it was nice to hear detailed explanations. And what I realized anew was that it was the same incisional surgery as my first surgery, but recovery was much faster this time, which was fascinating. I think it’s also a very dangerous prejudice to just assume, “Of course revision surgery will recover more slowly than the first surgery, right?” I’m writing this because I hope everyone will definitely get consultations and decide carefully.
