I originally had a lot of fat around my eyes, and while I was debating between double eyelid surgery and ptosis correction, I didn’t want to have a lot of bruising and swelling during daily life, so I decided to get upper eyelid fat removal. It’s done under local anesthesia by removing the fat through a very small incision, and other than a slightly stiff, pulling sensation when they pulled on the fat, there was almost no pain before or after the surgery. The surgery is over in about 10 minutes!
