It had a really unusual shape where only the front stuck out, so I chose surgery from the beginning. I had the surgery with Director Lee Hyun-soo at Finish. In conclusion, if I only look at whether I like it or not, since the swelling is still going down, I’d say my satisfaction is high up to about 70 out of 100 right now. I’m now in week 2, so I plan to keep watching it over time. Aside from everything else, among the reasons I chose the hospital, there seemed to be points that would be good for everyone here to know, so I’m writing this review. First, what I initially requested at the hospital was >> I want a natural straight-to-slightly-curved line. >> My nasal tip is too blunt, so please fix that part. That was it, but thinking about it now, I feel like my request was too simple. Because the director listened to my request first and then checked the condition of my nose (here, he also looked at the CT, looked at the x-ray, and directly touched my nose with his hands to check its condition). He said that not only did I have the biggest issue, a bulbous nose, but my nostril wings were pinched, and on the CT there was also a slight hump, so those needed to be corrected together. But I really had no information about surgery, you know?? I didn’t even know what a pinched nose meant, and I kept losing focus. Maybe the director noticed that too, because he had me hold a mirror in my hand, pointed things out directly as he explained, and alternated between that and the CT, so I was able to focus again. I didn’t want silicone, and since he reflected my opinion in the consultation, I felt the consultation itself was detailed. In the end, as I wrote in the title, I did it without an implant, and the nasal tip was lifted using autologous costal cartilage. On the day of surgery, I was really so nervous.. Since autologous costal cartilage had to be harvested, I had general anesthesia. At first, when I heard it was general anesthesia, I hesitated a bit, but after hearing that I’d be sedated and still able to move, I changed my mind. Oh, my surgery took a little over 3 hours, and to the point where I felt embarrassed about how nervous I had been, it was just over after I took a nap. Because of the anesthetic machine, I was a bit out of it at first after the surgery ended. I was resting in the recovery room when suddenly blood started dripping from my nose, so I was startled, but the teacher who was with me responded quickly, so it stopped soon. And just like I’d heard, the cotton packing was so stuffy. I understood what people mean by “cotton-packing panic.” Maybe it felt worse because it was my first surgery and my first time experiencing it. I don’t know if the splint felt stuffy, but it was just insanely itchy, like when hair gets inside your shirt on your back. It was so itchy, but I couldn’t scratch it, so it was a bit annoying. The area where the autologous costal cartilage was harvested pulls and hurts a bit when I bend my upper body forward. But it’s not to the point where I can’t live with it; it’s just something I unconsciously notice sometimes.. Still, once the stitches from the autologous costal cartilage area are removed and the splint is taken off, it becomes manageable. It’s now been 2 weeks since my surgery. It hasn’t been long yet. Someone said the swelling is mostly gone by 2 weeks, but that sounds like total nonsense. I still have plenty of swelling, so what do they mean there’s none...? Still, I think the shape itself came out well. My nose used to look spread out, but seeing it held in, I think I understand why autologous costal cartilage is used. Compared with before, I think it has improved a lot. Oh, and... why didn’t everyone who had nose surgery tell me this? I couldn’t wash my face while I had the splint on, so my pores got so clogged with sebum... Maybe because my pores were originally large, it feels especially clogged. How do I dissolve this.... tell me I bought oil from Olive Young and I’m rubbing it on, but it is getting better, right? I came here because I really wanted to tell what nose surgery is actually like. If I have time, I’ll come back again when about a month has passed to show how the nose shape settled
