I had epicanthoplasty about 6 years ago, and now I’m having side effects. The pain is seriously interfering with my daily life, and I can’t sleep properly either. I really regret making the decision so hastily when I was young, without doing enough online research or visiting clinics, and paying the deposit when I had so little information. Even when I was on the operating table, I wasn’t sure about getting the canthoplasty, but I just thought lightly, “It’ll probably turn out fine,” and I regret that so much too... Epicanthoplasty restoration has a high risk of side effects, and the aftercare is so demanding that I was trying not to do it unless absolutely necessary, you know? I don’t really have time for revision surgery, and the cost is also a concern, so I don’t want to do it, but the pain is too severe.. I think I’ll have to somehow make time and visit a few clinics for consultations. For everyone who had epicanthoplasty restoration, can I ask why you decided to do it?
예뻐지자825 Everyone I know who had epicanthoplasty restoration turned out well, so I recommend it.
젠하 [@Let’sGetPrettier825] I hope it’s like that for me too.. Since these epicanthoplasty side effects suddenly came out of nowhere, I’m already really anxious that side effects from restoration could also show up at any time. But for me, it seems like I’ll need to do it out of necessity, not for aesthetic reasons, so I can’t just live with it.. I really hope it goes well, so I even newly joined this community this time lololol Anyway, thank you for leaving a comment.
익명 The area where you had epicanthoplasty hurts? All of a sudden?
젠하 [@] Yeah, it started aching mildly a few days ago. At first it wasn’t that bad, so I thought maybe it was just in my head, but it kept going for several days, you know? Then when I looked in the mirror yesterday, I could tell for sure. The line at the inner corner of my left eye has completely changed. Even in photos, it looks a bit longer and more triangular, and the double eyelid line at the front of my eye has definitely changed too. The pain feels like it’s in the inner corners of both eyes, and this morning my eyes were also extremely gritty and dry, like I was wearing contact lenses. It’s a feeling I haven’t had for 5 years, so I can really tell something is strange. What on earth is this all of a sudden.. sigh
익명 [@Zenha] You must be really worried… Have you maybe been to an ophthalmologist?? I think it might be okay to get a detailed exam first at a place like a large university hospital. I also went because I had small styes and various issues after eye plastic surgery. A university hospital plastic surgery department could be okay too, and if they say there’s no major issue, then as you said, you’d probably need restoration
젠하 [@] I haven’t been to an ophthalmologist yet.. It’s not that I haven’t thought about it, but since it’s been about 6 years since my epicanthoplasty, should I say I instinctively feel like it isn’t an ophthalmology issue..? (You know what I mean, right) And only the inner corners of my eyes hurt; nowhere else hurts at all. They aren’t itchy or anything either... The more I look in the mirror, the more convinced I am that this is an epicanthoplasty issue.. haha + Still, I do think it would be good to go to an ophthalmologist and check once. Consultation appointments won’t be booked right away anyway, so maybe I should go before then
ggs801 I’m regretting it for the same reason too.. Let’s hang in there.
쎄잉125 I also worried a lot because of the cost and time, but my eye stinging was so severe, and because of the scar, I had restoration at IQ. I like it much more than before, so I’m satisfied.
Reye [@Let’sGetPrettier825] Could I possibly get the clinic information for where your acquaintances had their epicanthoplasty restoration?? I’m so desperate for epicanthoplasty restoration..

I went around for consultations in January, but the clinics seemed pressed even to schedule surgery dates and were really busy. Would clinics be a little less busy around mid-February?
Eye Re-Surgery@eye-redoJan 30 I think my double eyelid revision surgery failed..
It’s been 3 weeks on the left and 4 weeks on the right since stitch removal. The left side is different because I had revision surgery again one week after the operation. In total, I’ve had 4 incisions on the left and 3 on the right, and I
