I suddenly ended up getting rhinoplasty in July 2014. I had silicone in the nasal bridge and septal cartilage + ear cartilage used. I had a short nose and it was slightly upturned, but until then I was so scared of touching my face that I had firmly refused even when my parents said they would pay for it. But at some point I hated always being seen as young, and (I was in my mid-20s, but maybe because I looked young, I was ignored so often) I suddenly wanted to have a more sophisticated-looking face, so I went to about 7 consultations? and ended up having surgery. But I think I chose the wrong hospital. One reason I chose this hospital was that among my friend's acquaintances, there was someone whose surgery turned out really well, but during the consultation back then I only spoke with the consultant. They said I would have one more consultation with the director before going into surgery, so I trusted that, but there was no consultation, and the director basically just said to trust him because he would make it pretty on his own.... I was afraid that if I said anything, he might somehow make the surgery turn out badly, so I couldn't say anything and just said okay and had the surgery. After surgery, the nose shape turned out okay, but the silicone area on the nasal bridge kept looking red. I told the director, and since it was a long time ago I don't remember well, but I think he said something about blood circulation? something like that. Then he said it had only been 1 month, and asked how about covering it with makeup, which was absurd, but because of the atmosphere I couldn't really say anything. If it had at least been covered by makeup, I would have been less stressed, but no matter how much I covered it, the redness kept showing. And because the silicone kept moving inside, I was so, so anxious that inflammation might develop, so after about 6 months I went back for another consultation. But his attitude was so different from before, and he acted as if there was nothing wrong and I was the strange one.... I left feeling extremely upset ㅠㅠ And when I look at friends around me who had surgery, many places said they would do one revision surgery for free and only charge the anesthesia fee, but this place had nothing like that. They even asked for 1.1 million won just to remove the silicone.... Anyway, after that I developed distrust toward all plastic surgery clinics for no reason, so I went to about 3 ENT clinics for consultations. I was told that the redness couldn't be helped because the skin was thin, that even if the silicone was removed there would be a space inside so it would have to be filled again, that removing it would not make my nose completely return to my old nose, that there did not seem to be inflammation, and since there were no other particular problems, it would be best to just live like this. The redness was so stressful, but even the ENT clinics said that, so I just lived with it. But starting a few days ago, the cartilage at the nasal tip is showing through.... Ha.... It's not severe, but it looks round and white.. ㅠㅠ The thing I regret most in my life is getting rhinoplasty... And when I consulted with the consultant, she said they would raise the silicone about 3 mm, but when I asked later, they said the director had put in 4 mm... If I had known this was a place where the director just does whatever he wants, I really would not have done it here ㅠㅠ If I could go back to the past, I would want to desperately stop myself from getting rhinoplasty.. I really don't think the nose is something you should operate on carelessly....
