Photo 1, Photo 2: my current eyes Photo 3: the eyes I want; I want them to look like that after all the swelling goes down Photo 4: the eyes I want; I want them to look like that after all the swelling goes down. This was my eye after my first surgery when the swelling had not fully gone down yet.
Two years ago, I only had double eyelid surgery by incision, but from the start the line was set too low (even right after surgery, I had almost no swelling and the line was also very low), so I decided on revision surgery! Right now I am deciding between two clinics, and I want opinions on whether clinic 1 or clinic 2 would be better!! If you are curious about the clinic and director information, leave a comment and I will reply in a private comment.
Clinic 1 Natural adhesion + ptosis correction optional, in the 1.9 million won range 2-year after-service, single-doctor clinic, eye-specialty clinic -Because my eyes are suitable for natural adhesion, they said I should definitely do natural adhesion. Since I failed even though I had incision surgery, I asked whether I should do incision, and they said my eyes are definitely possible with natural adhesion and there is no reason to do incision. They said I look sleepy, so ptosis correction would be good, but if I do not want it, it is okay not to do it. -The line they held was fairly okay, but I felt it was a little lower than the line I wanted. They said if it goes higher than that, it would give a sausage-like feel. -When I look at the review photos, the lines come out pretty. The downside is that there are few reviews in the community, so I felt there was not much information to refer to. -They emphasized that before surgery, they carefully design it for a long time until the desired shape comes out. -In other consultation reviews, people said the doctor identified eye-structure issues and so on very well, but I did not really feel that part. Because the inner corners of my eyes are covered well and my epicanthal folds are strong, my front line gets buried easily, so I think I need an upper canthoplasty for my eyes. When I asked whether upper canthoplasty was needed, the reaction was like, “Do you really need it…?” They did say they would do upper canthoplasty too if I wanted it. -No recommendation of unnecessary surgery. -There were not many waiting clients, so consultation was quick; they printed photos and consulted while looking at them together. -They operate on at most 3-4 people a day. -It seems their surgery schedule is not very full. -The deposit amount is large and non-refundable.
Clinic 2 Partial incision or natural adhesion + upper canthoplasty optional, in the 2.4 million won range 1-year after-service, large clinic, director famous for eyes -There is a limit to how high the line can be raised with natural adhesion. If I want it to come out exactly as the line I want, I need partial incision. So I can choose whether to do natural adhesion with a slightly lower line or partial incision with the line I want. They said I need upper canthoplasty so the inner corner line will not get buried. -The director was kind, and held the line several times until the shape I wanted came out. I felt they were incredibly good at holding the line. -Because I have sunken eyes, they also suggested a facelift method; of course it was presented as an option, but I did think, “Hmm…?” -The line they held was my favorite, and when I referred to other reviews, the director’s aesthetic sense also seemed good. Since the director is famous, there are many accumulated reviews and word-of-mouth reputations outside apps too, so I want to get it done here, but I am concerned about the cost, the surgery schedule being pushed back, and the fact that they firmly said they would not make it high with buried sutures. -There were very many waiting clients. Even though I arrived a little earlier than the scheduled time, I had to wait a long time. -The deposit amount is large and only partially refundable.
Clinic 3 Natural adhesion, low 1 million won range 1-year after-service, single-doctor clinic, recently opened after leaving a large clinic -They said my eyes are easy and the line I want will come out well. Likewise, when I asked whether I should do incision, they said my eyes are definitely possible with natural adhesion and there is no reason to do incision. -They seemed to hold the line prettily. But the director seems famous for glamorous lines, so I passed. -There were not many waiting clients, so consultation was quick. -This was the clinic where both the director and manager were the kindest. -The deposit amount is small and fully refundable.
Clinic 4 Partial incision or incision + upper canthoplasty, in the 2.9 million won range 3-year after-service, seems like a fairly large clinic -They said my eyes cannot be raised much even with incision. But they said personally, they still do not think I need to go as far as incision, and they would do partial incision. Since my front line tends to get buried, upper canthoplasty would also be good. -They held the line once or twice and that was it. -Maybe because the director had just come back from surgery, the consultation felt insincere.. I saw this often in clinic-shopping reviews, and I wondered why it was like that. -Still, the review photos looked pretty. I had the highest expectations because I liked the reviews, so I was that much more disappointed ㅠ -The deposit amount is small and 90% refundable up to 3 days before.
Clinic 5 Incision + upper canthoplasty, in the 3.1 million won range 1-year after-service, originally a single-doctor clinic but seems to have recently become a two-doctor clinic -This clinic originally recommends incision a lot, and as expected I was recommended incision. Because my inner epicanthal folds are strong, they strongly recommended upper canthoplasty. -I felt they understood my eye structure and issues well and delicately. -This clinic is famous(?) for holding lines conservatively. As expected, they held the line low. -Both the director and manager were kind, and there was no pressure for same-day reservation. -I do not really remember the deposit policy..
