First of all.. compared with other areas, the eyes really determine your overall impression... so I think it’s best to really ask people around you where they had good results. I had long, large monolid eyes. I would have been fine even without eye surgery, but I got tempted and had surgery because I wanted to look prettier...
1. First, when I was 19, I got swept along by my mom’s friend (a broker) and had incisional double-eyelid surgery near Ewha Womans University, but the incision came undone within a month, so I got only that one side retouched twice, and when it came undone again and I went back, the clinic had disappeared..
2. When I was 23, I had put down a deposit at a famous clinic in Ilsan, but then I found out about a place with good word of mouth, so I gave up the deposit, maybe 200,000? 300,000 won? (it was a long time ago, so I don’t remember perfectly) and went there. The director looked like Yoon Jong-shin. Apparently he had been a department chief at Paik Hospital. That was when I found out that my eyes never needed an incision in the first place.. I had revision surgery with the buried suture method. (The director said that if possible, especially for eyes, it’s better not to use a knife. I agree too ㅜㅜ)
As a blessing in disguise, the eye where the line had come undone actually loosened completely, so the old incision scar was visible, but the buried-suture revision line came out so pretty. But the other eye could not overcome the force of that incisional adhesion, so the line kept escaping back to the previous incision line.. Still, he kindly always did aftercare by adding one stitch at a time, and because getting the front part of the line to settle was the biggest problem, he reset one stitch at the front two or maybe three times. The director’s philosophy on plastic surgery is really good. I introduced about 5 people? to the clinic for surgery, and all of them turned out well. But no matter how much I begged, that director wouldn’t do an incisional revision for me ㅜㅜ... I really wanted to fix that one eye..
Looking back now, I desperately realized that I should have listened to that director..
3. In the end, I went for a consultation somewhere else. When I turned 30... a place in Gangnam famous for facial contouring..... While I was worrying about my eyes, I followed a friend to a consultation, and they told me that if I shaved my jaw, I wouldn’t need Botox for the rest of my life, so I got tempted.... I had money saved up too... and had surgery right away. The head director was said to be number one in Korea for bone surgery or whatever, and it was such a big hospital, so of course I trusted them.
But I guess I was a typical shadow-doctor case...
Actually, my jaw barely had any visible angles.. I was just at a time when I got easily swayed by tempting words.. and despite having no luck with plastic surgery... I got swept up again...
That was when I was 27. My jaw became a dog-like jaw, one side had a secondary angle and the other had a tertiary angle. My chin was protruding so much like a “nijugari”... They said they hadn’t reduced the chin width and had moved it forward instead..
Just looking at the X-ray... the position where they attached the left and right bones, and even the pins were attached completely off to the side, and the pins were crooked tooㅋㅋㅋㅋ I was so dumbfounded and devastated.. So after my eyes, I ended up creating two areas of complexes that I never had before...
To go back to my eyes, at that place famous for facial contouring, I went for a jaw consultation, and they said that although they couldn’t do much about the dog-like jaw, they could fix the secondary angle and move the chin back into position, things like that.. The doctor pinpointed everything accurately and seemed so confident, so I trusted him, and naturally thought he would be good at eyes too, so I did my eyes, jaw, and breasts all at once...

The jaw was corrected. A lot of the stress I had before decreased. No, considering that botched jaw, it really turned out well. The dog-like jaw still bothers me, but it was improved? through revision surgery...
The problem was my eyes... I guess he’s only good at contouring... The eye surgery was a failed incisional revision... He told me to do ptosis correction together, so I did, but it was worse than before.... One eye again looked as if it had come undone and covered half of my pupil.. There was a double-eyelid line, but the strength disappeared. The other eye opened too wide, and the entire pupil was visible...
The stress over my eyes came back full force... So that clinic acknowledged the mistake and said they would do aftercare again, so I got it done. The eye-opening became similar on both sides. But..... maybe they didn’t pay attention to the double incision lines... When I closed my eyes, it looked like railroad tracks....ㅜㅜ Even when my eyes were open, the double incision line showed at the outer tail end of the eye...
Anyway, it was managed when my eyes were open... and I thought that was the limit of that director’s eye-surgery skill.. so I gave up...
4. Then I met an older acquaintance, and her eyes had really not been good before.. but I guess the saying that eyes do everything for a woman is true. Her eyes turned out so, so well, so I asked which clinic it was and went for a consultation right away.

Wow.. they really pinpointed everything accurately. Before I even said anything, they completely understood my eyes.
I thought ptosis correction would be meaningless, so I left that out and had another incisional revision. I think I was 32. The lines were really neatly cleaned up.. But since the opening strength of my two eyes was already different, I should have added ptosis correction too ㅜ Then it would have been a perfect? revision surgery..ㅜ After people saw that my eye revision went well, I introduced 5? 6 people there, and they actually turned out much better than me. The director is really meticulous and sharp. This doctor is also principled, the kind who advises you not to do things that shouldn’t be done and sends you back.
So I have no idea how much money I spent on just my eyes... physical suffering, emotional suffering, a battle with bruises...ㅜㅜ In terms of money, I basically embedded diamonds in my eyes.
What I realized after going through these four doctors is: really be careful with hospitals that have many doctors.. don’t do things when they tell you not to.. if you are doing a certain area, make sure you do it at a place that presents itself as specializing in that area... and reviews from people around you are the most important, and don’t get tempted by useless words ㅜ No matter how much you search the internet... it’s hit or miss.. For real, people who have seen it in person are the witnesses and the results.
