This winter I went to an ENT clinic because of a cold in my nose, and the doctor said I had inflammation in my nose. They were saying things like whether this was rhinitis flaring up, or whether it was because the weather suddenly got cold, and asked what I had done to my nose, saying that if it was industrial silicone or paraffin, the tissue could necrose and so on, so I got scared. That’s because I had filler injected 10 years ago, and it still hadn’t disappeared;; and I didn’t know what type of filler I had received.. ha.. so I started worrying like crazy.
So I immediately booked an appointment at a plastic surgery clinic and went, but they said they wouldn’t know unless they opened it up themselves.. and the cost would be charged as revision surgery.. The one fortunate thing was that a friend referred me to the hospital where she had hers done, so I got it done really cheaply.
Anyway, the filler I was most worried about fortunately wasn’t paraffin or industrial silicone or anything like that; anyway, it was a type of filler. They said there was more filler in the glabella than expected, and maybe because of that, early on I developed a hematoma in the glabella. They drew it out with a syringe and squeezed it.. that hurt the most..ㅠㅅㅠ For a while my glabella was swollen, so I couldn’t tell whether the nose turned out well or what, but recently the swelling has gone down and it seems to be gradually settling! The doctor asked me if I had a nose shape I wanted, so I said I wanted it like Pinocchio, and he gave me a serious look and said that wasn’t possible with my nose;; so I said I wanted it to feel like, when a woman sees it, “She got her nose done~,” and when a man sees it, “Her nose is pretty,” and I’m satisfied because I really think it turned out that way!
However, sometimes when it’s hot or I stay in the sun for a long time, the bridge of my nose gets red, which does bother me. But it’s only been 2 months, and I was told it could be because the capillaries inside the nose haven’t settled properly yet, so I’m going to wait a little longer and ask the hospital if it keeps happening. It should be nothing serious, right?
I am worried about contracture, nasal tip drooping, silicone side effects, and so on, but I lived for 10 years with filler in my nose without any problems, so I don’t think I’ll have a rejection or foreign-body reaction to silicone. As for the nasal tip, it will eventually droop with age due to gravity and elasticity, but they say you usually don’t really feel that until about 10 years later, and by then I’ll probably be married, have kids, and be busy with all that, so I won’t have time to worry about it, right! Haha
