Hellooo ㅎ I’m 23 years old, and I had never even been to a dermatologist, let alone had plastic surgery, and had never even gotten Botox. It’s not that I had negative thoughts about plastic surgery, and it’s not that I wasn’t interested in appearance, but simply ;; I’m very scared... I was the kind of person who thought, what if I get jaw Botox and lose my chewing function? lol (It was also a big factor that the areas I felt complexed about required such major work that I couldn’t even dare to consider it.)
Then, strangely, I got really interested in lip filler. Around last year, when I was working at a company located in Seodaemun, I found a clinic near Sinchon called Bomnuncheotipsul, where even from the name you could tell what they were most famous for (I have to write the hospital name, right?). Whether it was fate or what, I just suddenly wanted to visit once..! Since all my friends were getting things done, I wanted to try something too, and maybe this place seemed easy to approach lol Anyway, during the first consultation, they accurately explained the petit procedures I had only vaguely heard about. I didn’t even know that filler is something like a liquid substance that, once injected, condenses between the skin and muscle and acts like an implant... that kind of thing lol Anyway, after listening, what I thought was that procedures like filler must require a lot of clinical experience (you need to know where to inject so there is less bruising and so it doesn’t interfere with blood circulation), and that in terms of design, I should meet a doctor who pursues the same kind of beauty as I do... I understood about that much.
There was also a case around me where an older friend got full-face filler, had a serious side effect (skin tissue necrosis), even attempted suicide, and then spent an enormous amount of money and time over 2 years to fully recover, so I had never even considered it. But I liked the post-procedure response plan and the photos the consultant showed me. My lips are quite plump, but the corners of my mouth droop, so I had never once thought my lips were pretty. But they said it looks so different when the corners of the mouth go up. These days even people with small, thin lips intentionally get it, so I thought maybe I should just lift the ends.. lol
So I said I would do it right there (at my first clinic, after consulting for 10 minutes with someone who wasn’t even the doctor, I said I’d do it lol) After going for it, I got anxious for no reason and asked them to apply a lot of numbing cream lol In the end, maybe I was lucky, but it turned out so well that several friends asked me about it too. I think at least 5 people went because of me. Just the corners of my mouth going up made me look a bit trendier, and strangely, it felt like I looked really different, especially for me. They say your lips get dry afterward, but my lip flakes used to be so bad that they bled several times a day, so if anything, they became more moisturized lolol This is seriously real.
Since lots of people get filler, it might have looked like I was making a fuss, but people who don’t get things done really don’t do anything at all, so for me it was a huge adventure. But the person who had worried that much drank alcohol right after getting it, didn’t sleep, kept touching the treated area every day lol and still, thankfully, there was nothing that could be called a side effect.
Anyway, thank you for reading this long post~
