Hello~ I had surgery 2 years ago with teardrop implants, 320 cc on the left and 340 cc on the right. I was told that the smooth type requires massage after surgery, and that teardrop implants would be better for my ribcage, so I chose teardrop implants. The products used were Allergan implants. I’m very thin and had almost no breasts at all, so I got larger implants than other people, but I’m satisfied with the shape and size after surgery. When I look at myself without clothes, I think it might have been okay to go slightly smaller, but since I’m tall, it looks stylish and fine when I’m dressed.
The things I worried about most before breast surgery were capsular contracture, postoperative pain, and how they would feel to the touch. As for contracture after surgery, I took the medication prescribed by the hospital (asthma medication), massaged with a wet towel as instructed, wore the upper band properly, and consistently went to the hospital for post-op treatments to prevent contracture, so fortunately I didn’t develop contracture.
And I think you have to expect a certain amount of pain after surgery. Even though I got pain-control injections after surgery, for several days it hurt a lot, especially at dawn or late at night, and it was uncomfortable because I had to sleep sitting up. They say it varies by person... but for me, it hurt a lotㅠ Also, I gave up on the feel. Since I was creating something from nothing, I think there are limits.. Before breast surgery, I was basically at a man’s level, enough to say “having breasts is innocent, having no breasts is guilty”.. ㅠㅠ Now, when I lie down, if I lie on my side instead of flat on my back, the shape and feel are somewhat okay, and it looks pretty with a bra on, but without one, there’s a slight operated-on bowl-like look.
Still, after surgery, my self-esteem as a woman went up, and I’m glad to be free from the stress I felt every time I bought clothes. As soon as I saved up the money, I went around to hospitals and got it done without hesitation, and I think doing it right away actually helped. If I hadn’t done it then, I probably would have gone traveling with that money..
