Originally, I had no interest in jaw Botox at all. The reason I first got Botox was that my temporomandibular joint was in very poor condition, and I also had severe shoulder tightness, so my shoulder muscles, neck muscles, and jaw muscles were all tense, which made my TMJ even worse. The inflammation was severe, and the joint had deteriorated a lot, to the point where I was told that if the inflammation continued like this, I might need surgery later. At that time, I got Botox for the first time at a dental clinic, and after experiencing my jaw muscles completely relaxing, after the injection my jaw pain and muscle pulling all disappeared.
Since then, I have continued getting jaw Botox until now, and it feels like killing two birds with one stone. Because my jaw muscles relax, it improves aesthetically as well, and it also has a therapeutic function, so I feel Botox has helped me in many ways.
