1. Choosing the hospital - Selection criteria: 1) Excluded very large, big-scale hospitals 2) A place with a director who suggests opinions according to the patient’s preferences rather than a director with a very strong personal style 3) A place with natural-looking review photos rather than overly dramatic ones - I did a lot of online research and narrowed it down to a list of 5 places, and I had consultations at a total of 3 places. The biggest reason I ultimately chose this clinic was the director’s consultation! At first, I hesitated because there was a consultation fee, but they explained everything in such detail that the fee did not feel wasteful at all. Above all, among the 3 hospitals I consulted with, this was the only one that explained my breast condition, the surgical method, why that method should be chosen, and even side effects in an easy-to-understand and detailed way, so I trusted them the most. Just from the consultation, I could feel that the director was meticulous and calm. - I also liked that the review photos were not excessive, but not too natural either; they had just the right firm and pretty shape. The consultation mattered, but I also checked the review photos carefully before choosing :) 2. Implant and surgical method - Director Kwon Soon-geun / Motiva Full / Left 335, Right 315 - Dual-plane technique / axillary incision - Since I have pectus excavatum, I was told that if the implant texture were too soft, it could slide downward, so Motiva was recommended to me. I chose it because it is also one of the safest implants. - I proceeded with the commonly used dual-plane technique, and for the incision, I chose the armpit because I was told that later it would become almost indistinguishable from the natural creases. 3. Condition at 3 months - Since the 1-month mark, I have been living so comfortably that I almost forget I had surgery. Other than still not being able to exercise, I have no discomfort at all in daily life! - Since the 1-month mark, I switched from a compression garment to a sports bra. It is a bit expensive, but it is comfortable because I do not need to use nipple patches, and I like that it supports the breasts well. - I really think time is the best medicine. Honestly, at first I worried, what if they keep feeling this tight and firm? But they gradually improved, and now they have become quite soft :) They come together well, the shape is settling more naturally, and I am excited to see how they will change again by the 6-month mark!
