First, my stats are 163/48, and I had surgery with Mentor Xtra / transaxillary incision / L350, R350. First, choosing a hospital was hard. This place is not just a plastic surgery clinic; it is literally a hospital, so preoperative blood tests, ECG, and X-ray exams were all possible, and the operating room was also extremely good, almost university-hospital level. First, choosing the hospital was the hardest, and the reasons I chose this hospital were: 1. The doctor specializes in breast surgery 2. An anesthesiology specialist is on-site (⭐️because it is general anesthesia⭐️) 3. It is a one-doctor practice 4. Whether there is CCTV in the operating room 5. Natural breast shape 6. Smooth communication with the doctor and consultant These were my criteria. Director Seungje Sung measured my breasts from various angles for about a minute, and while pointing out asymmetric breasts + pigeon chest + asymmetry in nipple height on both sides that I had not even known about, he explained in detail the surgical method that suited my breasts. (Because the nipple heights were very different, he said that if surgery was done as-is, the asymmetry would become worse. So he said the inframammary fold length needed to be dissected differently to match the height. When I entered the operating room, it was the cleanest operating room among all the ones I have been to so far, and it felt like a university-hospital-level operating room. There is also talk that operating-room cleanliness determines whether inflammation occurs, so I consider it important. There was something like negative pressure? There was also a machine to keep bacteria from coming up, and anyway, it was really clean. And after surgery, the staff came to pick me up. I was still half-asleep because the anesthesia had not fully worn off, and when I said I needed to pee, they helped me beside me while I peed^^;; The staff were so kind that I was touched After surgery, I looked at my underarms, and the suturing was clean, and there was not even any bruising. Until day 3, it was hard to get up after lying down, so I had to hold my breasts and get up. Since it was a transaxillary incision, I was really worried I would not be able to use my arms, but I was surprised that from the first day, I could move my arms around much better than expected. Anyway, I have to wear a compression bra for a month, and this really drives a person crazy. There is not much pain, but I have to wear the compression bra 24 hours a day, and it was so tight and suffocating that that part was hard. But after about a week, as they say, humans are creatures of adaptation, it did not bother me at all. And a week later, I went for a follow-up, and I was touched again because the director and staff were so kind They carefully looked at and checked my breasts, and when I said I was worried about the underarm scar rising up and that maybe my nerves were coming back, because my right breast sometimes felt tingly, they said hyperbaric oxygen therapy is good for scars and wound healing, and told me to receive it as much as I wanted as a complimentary service before leaving. Now I do not have even 1 bit of tingling, and at first I had somewhat reduced sensation in my left nipple, but the sensation has completely returned.
