I have a bulbous nose with thick skin. I had my first surgery about 13 years ago. Back then, they used ear cartilage, inserted 3 mm silicone, and did it with a closed approach. I really hated looking obviously operated on, so I had it done as naturally as possible, and the result was just a slight correction of the bulbous nose. But in the end, the nasal tip collapsed, and I just lived like that until I finally made up my mind and had revision surgery this time. They used donated costal cartilage and inserted 3.5 mm silicone. For my first surgery, it was a closed approach and my first operation, so maybe that’s why I healed really quickly and was fine, but this time I still feel discomfort I have symptoms like aching/stinging, a spicy burning sensation, mucous membrane swelling, and so on, so I’m scared it might be an early sign of contracture. And since I had a bulbous nose to begin with, I didn’t even expect a slim, refined nose, and the director also said there were limits. So from the side it looks quite slim, but from the front it’s blunt Also, because it’s a thick-skinned bulbous nose, I was told I have a lot of scar tissue, so I’m still taping every day and taking medication to prevent scar tissue. Every day I think that becoming prettier is really hard.
