It's been almost 2 years since I had incisional double-eyelid surgery It hasn't loosened, and I'm happy with it. Also, for me, the swelling was almost gone after a week. I guess I'm the type who doesn't swell much!! If you're going to get double-eyelid surgery, do it quick, good good. And I don't recommend the non-incisional buried-suture method. It loosens quickly, so I've seen a lot of people getting it done two or three times
