But I absolutely, absolutely, absolutely hate sausage-shaped eyes.. and I wanted the line to be higher as the eye corners moved inward while going backward And because my eyes were too small to begin with, I wanted to make them bigger with canthoplasty <Shopping around> I went to 6 places Looking back, I wonder how I could have gone to so many places.. stamina was good Maybe because I usually wear heavy makeup, the places I visited while wearing makeup were the kind that made the double-eyelid line look even more elaborate, and when I said I wanted canthoplasty, there were many places that said, ㅇㅇ We'll make you 2x At first I also thought, with these eyes now, 2x? that's completely lucky-like But after checking community posts and reviews, I quietly noticed many people had canthoplasty failures and needed revision surgery and there were many who had side effects even though places said canthoplasty could be done for everyone No-brainer >> you 2x possible!! At places like that, I hesitated because it felt a bit too adventurous. Still, the reason I could go all the way to surgery was This hospital was the first to tell me, 2x is too much for my eyes!! I'll make it bigger at 1.5x Even though the canthoplasty itself was done as full canthoplasty, the surgeon said that even though she knew I wanted a dramatic effect, if you over-expand beforehand and open it too much without spare space, it won’t become a pretty eye but rather a heavy, excessive eye. What I learned again was that what matters in canthoplasty is not how many points it has, but how much it opens. <Surgery> I had incisional double-eyelid surgery Because I had been consistently doing double-taping and double glue for 4-5 years, most clinics said line fixation does not work with non-incisional methods (If anyone here still has an attachment to non-incisional techniques, drop it now. If you’re going to have surgery, it’s really better to stop using it) On surgery day, after waiting a bit following the coordinator’s instructions and meeting the surgeon again to finalize the design, I went into surgery. I think I was really, really shaky Half was the pressure of "Will the surgery go well?" and half was the expectation that it would come out as the surgeon planned. Honestly, maybe because canthoplasty was done too, opening my eyes was a bit hard that day..h But when stitches were removed at one week and after care, the swelling gradually went down. But as seen in photos, some redness appeared, and I was worried it would keep showing contrary to that thought, everything disappeared before week 2. Conclusion >> don’t hype or worry so much before a few weeks have passed^^.. <Now, one month!!> People around me say doing everything, including canthoplasty, was the right move; I partly agree. I also think it was lucky that I did not overdo it as the surgeon recommended! The line came out exactly as I wanted (higher as it goes backward), and before, even if I drew the eye line very dark it did not show, but now even a single stroke shows it clearly.. the importance of double eyelids Now, when I occasionally look at pre-op photos, I want to deny it is me..
