Eye Re-Surgery

Under-eye fat repositioning

<Before surgery><3 days after surgery><About one month later>I’ve had a really severe complex about my dark circles since I was young, so I even looked into dark circle tattooing. But at the tattoo shop, they said my dark circles were due to under-eye fat, so I would probably need to have surgery first before getting the tattoo. That’s why I started looking into surgery. After that, I searched online and went around for consultations, and unlike other hospitals (other hospitals also recommended fat grafting), this place only recommended fat repositioning. I thought it was an ethical place that didn’t push additional procedures, so I chose this place. When I looked at other review photos, it also seemed like this director showed the best results for cases like mine, which also played a part in my choice. Also, the consultation manager was so, so, so kind and easy to talk to, so I liked it even more. ✔️ Surgery day, before surgery: To be honest, aside from the consultation manager, there weren’t any staff members who were extremely kind, but there also weren’t any delays before surgery. The surgery was done under sedation and local anesthesia, so there was no pain at all. ✔️ Surgery day, after surgery: Even after surgery, there was almost no pain, and I had none of the issues they had mentioned, such as eye discharge or bleeding from the eyes. I only had tape attached underneath, and there was no disruption to daily life at all. ✔️ 3 days after surgery: After removing the tape myself, I saw that my eyes were very swollen. As you can see in the photos, I have quite severe wrinkles under my eyes, but the under-eye area was so swollen that none of those wrinkles were visible. Also, the dark circles did not improve as much as I expected. ✔️ 7 days after surgery: There was still slight swelling around the eyes, and the dark circles had not improved much either, but when I went to the hospital for a follow-up, they said we needed to keep watching it, so I continued monitoring the condition. ✔️ Now: It has been about one month since surgery, and as shown in the photos, aside from the dark circles becoming very slightly lighter, there is almost no difference. However, the sunken area under my eyes seems to have filled out enough that people around me all notice it. When I touch it myself, there is no hollowing under the eyes, and the plumpness seems to be settling well. There is no change to my aegyo-sal or eye shape, and I think I’m recovering well without side effects. It’s a bit disappointing that there was almost no improvement in the dark circles, which was what I wanted most, but the director initially said there might not be much improvement in my dark circles, so I’m just going to go to a dark circle tattoo shop and get one more procedure!
