The reason I decided on the surgery was that the doctor said the visible jawline asymmetry could be eliminated with contouring, but the asymmetry was not corrected at all. My condition was such that the asymmetry could not have been corrected unless it was two-jaw surgery, but at the time I wasn’t considering two-jaw surgery, so I got contouring. From the patient’s perspective, the doctor said it would be okay, so I trusted that and had the surgery.
