I have a habit of organizing things whenever I do something, so after going around for double eyelid consultations, I organized the hospitals I had kept as candidates. It felt like a waste to keep it to myself, so I’m posting it. Before going to consultations, I thought looking through reviews was the hardest part, you know? To my eyes, everything looked pretty and all the results seemed good.. But after actually going around for consultations, I started prioritizing things while figuring out how well each hospital would suit me and whether there was overtreatment or not. Once I filtered out only the places that recommended too many excessive procedures, I thought more than half the battle would be won.
I do think hospital consultations also depend on personal taste, but if you’re like me and want to create a natural-looking line, and for canthoplasty too, you don’t want visible mucous membrane x but want your eyes to look naturally bigger, I think these will suit you to some extent. That doesn’t mean my post is definitely the correct answer, so I hope you look up all the reviews and even check the route to some extent before making consultation appointments.
ㄱㄹ (ㅣㅣㄴ) *Incision + lateral canthoplasty + epicanthoplasty + forehead lift (they told me to think about it) I have a lot of fat in my eyelids, and when they shaped the line, a clear double eyelid line didn’t form, so they said it would be advantageous to create the line with an incision. They said I’m a really good case for lateral canthoplasty. My eyes aren’t particularly fierce right now, so I was worried that if I got lateral canthoplasty, they might look too sad? But they said it would be possible while maintaining a puppy-like eye shape.
ㅇㄹ (ㅗㄹㅗ) *Incision + epicanthoplasty + ptosis correction This was the first place where I heard about ptosis correction, so I asked them to explain why, and the director explained my eye structure in a lot of detail. So I understood why ptosis correction was recommended. Doing it by incision was similar to the previous hospital, to create a clear line. They said if I only did double eyelid surgery and ptosis correction, the Mongolian fold may not look severe right now, but when the line is made, the inner corner could look wrinkled, so they recommended slightly opening it with epicanthoplasty.
ㅂㅇㅇ (ㅗㄴㅏㅣ) *Incision + epicanthoplasty + ptosis correction Here too, they talked about ptosis and said I definitely needed ptosis correction together. The director seemed very experienced, and the consultation itself wasn’t the type where they explained in great detail?, but they did give very concise, clear diagnoses. They said epicanthoplasty would be effective and would be good to do together with double eyelid surgery. The line was the lowest among all the places I consulted.
For the lines they shaped, I liked them in the order 2>3>1. If looking at the canthoplasty effect?, 1 was the biggest, but the idea of opening 7 mm itself felt a bit burdensome (when you go for the consultation, they show you things like the recovery process? of people who actually had the surgery, and hmm... I felt it didn’t really suit me) Rather than that, I thought 3=2, which said they would open it naturally, were similarly good. The cost is similar for 2=3. For 1, they said if I’m going with an in-out line, I can proceed as is, but if I want a semi-out line, I should also consider a forehead lift. All three places were good at shaping different types of lines. So I don’t think any of the consultations were short. If I had to rank them, the length was 2>3>1.
I’m planning to think it over until this week and schedule a surgery date next week.
