I started double eyelid surgery pretty early, had an incisional double eyelid surgery 10 years ago, then had it done once more at the same place a year later. But it just felt like my small eyes had one more line added, so as soon as the swelling went down, I thought it was a failure. As you can see from my pre-op photos, even though I had incisional eye surgery twice, the lines on both sides were uneven and thick, so they looked unnatural, and the skin even started sagging at the inner line, which really stressed me out... When I confronted the previous clinic about why the surgery turned out like that, they only said things like everyone has asymmetry. Since I had already had incisional surgery twice, my case was also awkward to revise just anywhere. As soon as I became an adult and saved up money, I looked into revision surgery. Since this was my third surgery, I only shortlisted and visited clinics known for difficult eye revision surgeries, and it has now been 4 months since I had surgery at this clinic! I don’t think I need to redo my eyes anymore, right? Opening my eyes is much easier now, and the symmetry is perfect, so I don’t get stressed even when taking photos What felt different during the consultation here compared with the previous clinic was that the director didn’t blame the structure of my eyes, but said the line height seemed to have been set incorrectly from the start. They said that by lowering the height a little and doing ptosis correction so I could open my eyes properly, my eyes would look much more open. They also recommended doing a slight epicanthoplasty so the line could connect beautifully. During the consultation, I understood why many people go there for eye revisions. It really felt like consulting with an actual doctor? haha. They seemed genuinely serious about finding a solution. My eyes are bigger than when I used to wear heavy makeup before, so I’m truly satisfied, and even though this was my third incisional surgery, the swelling went down the fastest this time. I did go out for lots of walks, but I did that before too, so haha.. From the one-month mark, once I wore glasses, I had recovered enough that people around me didn’t really say anything. Now I’m at 4 months, so the swelling and bruising have all settled, and it looks natural enough that people seeing me for the first time probably wouldn’t even know I had surgery. If your eyes look artificial after double eyelid surgery and you want to redo them more naturally / if you already had incisional eye surgery and have severe adhesions / if your line is high and you need a lowering surgery like a two-line correction, etc., and you have concerns similar to mine, I totally recommend it!! Even when I close my eyes, the current line is the cleanest, so I’m never touching them again
