I had nose surgery 10 years ago. My original nose had practically no base at all, to the point that I had never seen a nose lower than mine. My nose was short and there wasn’t much skin laxity, so it was raised only slightly, and for the nasal tip, the cartilage was tied together and AlloDerm was placed on top. The AlloDerm placed on my nasal tip was absorbed long ago, so my nasal tip is flat and has a slightly strange nose shape.
The problem is that starting last year, I began mainly wearing glasses, and at some point my nose shape started changing. The silicone shifted to one side, and the right nasal tip collapsed. My skin has also become so thin that it feels like all the silicone is visible..
Even today, I was looking in the mirror, and the entire collapsed right side of my nose was red.. Last time it turned red like this, I felt like the skin had sunken in deeply afterward, so I’m really scared.
I work at a company, and I have never told anyone about my nose surgery. Even the operated nose is so low and unimpressive. If my nose really twists and everyone notices, I feel like I won’t be able to live with it, but I’m also not in a situation where I can get surgery right away, so this is really hard.
