I’m leaving a review 3 weeks after my 3rd nose surgery...(long post warning, rambling.. it got long as I was writing..)
In my early 20s, I didn’t know anything.. I didn’t properly look into the hospital and just went ahead with surgery, and only a month after the surgery, the hospital disappeared..
They had put L-shaped silicone in my nose, and it felt like my skin was gradually getting thinner, so I had my 2nd nose surgery 2 years ago..
I had revision surgery using silicone and ear cartilage after removing the L-shaped silicone, but as time passed, my nasal tip kept drooping too muchㅠㅠ I wondered if it was because I had my 1st and 2nd nose surgeries at local clinics rather than in Gangnam, so thinking this would be my last time, I went around looking for hospitals in Gangnam that were known for doing nose revision surgery well. I ruled out places that were unfriendly, places that mentioned same-day booking, and places where the director seemed half-hearted... and last month, I had my 3rd nose surgery at the place I felt best about.
During the consultation, they took a CT scan and we talked about the problems with my nose and the drooping nasal tip. The director looked at the CT and explained one problem after another and the solutions in detail. The consultation time wasn’t extremely long, but the director just explained all the things I had been curious about, so it was fascinating haha. On the day of surgery too, honestly.. I was so nervous that while getting ready with the design, consultation, etc., my hands were trembling... But ㅠㅠ the consultant held my hand tightly and patted me, saying it was okay and not to be too nervous, and I almost teared upㅠㅠ And in the operating room too, the staff tried to help me relax by chatting about everyday things, and I was so gratefulㅠ
And they brought printed photos of the nose I wanted and attached them in the operating room. Maybe the director looked at the photos from time to time while operating? That’s what I thought haha. I’m not sure though. Anyway, then I went under sedation, and after the surgery was over, I walked out, but I was dazed... I don’t know how I walked out. I don’t rememberㅋㅋ
Then I came to a little, changed clothes, and went home. After coming home, I slept almost sitting up for a week... I had no appetite either, so ㅠㅠ I forced myself to eat and take medicineㅠ I really couldn’t believe I was doing this againㅠㅠ I felt so sad that I ate while crying and all thatㅠㅠ On the day they removed the splint, I looked at my nose after taking the splint off, and even taking the swelling into account, I could feel that the nasal tip had gone up, so it was fascinating haha. Then they removed all the stitches and did this and that, and now it’s been 3 weeks. Maybe because I walk around often, the swelling has gone down a lot haha. Pumpkin juice tasted bad, but I drank it diligently tooㅠ
The really major swelling has gone down, but there’s still some vague swelling left, and the hospital said it will go down more than now, so for now I’m looking forward to it. I used silicone and autologous costal cartilage!
This time I’m going to take even better care of it ㅠㅠ I really don’t want any more revision surgeryㅠㅠ Writing whatever came to mind from my first surgery until now made this way too long;; Anyway... I’ll keep watching it, and if the swelling goes down more haha, I’ll leave another post! Those of you getting revision surgery, really look into hospitals a lot before doing it.... I hope everyone succeeds!!!!!
The photo order is recent - around 2 weeks - before surgery!
