It’s currently been 2 weeks.
All the stitches in my nose have been removed.
I had quite a lot done overall.
Crooked nose osteotomy + alar reduction + silicone + septal cartilage for the nasal tip
Right now there’s still some swelling left,
and the nasal tip is firm and full because scar tissue has filled in.
The doctor gave me scar tissue injections at week 1 and week 2 because of the scar tissue,
and I’m taking medication to reduce the scar tissue.
The nasal tip is lifted a little, and according to the doctor, it’s because it’s firm and full from the scar tissue filling in, but since I got the injections and the swelling will go down, it should become much slimmer.
I think it’s still too early to say whether it’s a success or failure, and I’m planning to watch it for at least a month.
What bothers me more than the nasal tip is the scar from the alar reduction. I’m worried because there’s an indented mark left inside. At this level, it’s immediately visible when seen up close, so I wonder if I need scar revision surgery... sigh
The scar left from the open rhinoplasty is small, but I feel like the alar reduction may leave a lot of scarring.
If you’re planning alar reduction, please think it over a lot.
