Before <before revision surgery> After <after revision surgery> 10 years ago, when I was in high school, I had incisional double eyelid surgery + epicanthoplasty haha The swelling was seriously like sausages and wouldn’t go down, so it took 3 years for it to look natural.. Seriously, my double eyelids were so thick Friends who had surgery around the same time back then did the buried suture method, and they were making a fuss because theirs came undone and their double eyelid lines got thinner, but mine only started getting thinner after several years. As time passed, even though I had epicanthoplasty, my Mongolian folds seemed to get deeper(?) and my eyes became much more uneven. Maybe because I plucked my eyebrow hairs so much, my eyelids also felt like they were drooping, so after worrying about it, I decided on double eyelid revision surgery! My satisfaction after surgery is good good. After seeing my revision surgery, my younger sibling got theirs redone too, and older acquaintances all had surgery as well lolololol
First. The swelling went down extremely quickly. I don’t know if medical techniques have improved compared to 10 years ago or if the director’s skills were good, but the surgery time was short too, and when I went to work on day 5, people didn’t know I had eye surgery (I had it done together with nose surgery.. they thought I was swollen because of my nose haha) Second. My Mongolian folds were perfectly improved. These days I see a lot of upper epicanthoplasty, so I told the director I wanted upper epicanthoplasty, and they said epicanthoplasty and upper epicanthoplasty are basically the same.. So I just did epicanthoplasty, but during surgery, it felt like they slightly lowered the inner corners of my eyes and removed the skin covering the inner corners? This is the part I’m most satisfied with Third. The unevenness improved. Everyone has some asymmetry, so taking that into account, my uneven eyes improved a lot compared to before Fourth. The double eyelid line became natural. Before, when I closed my eyes, it screamed “I. had. double. eyelid. surgery,” but now it’s so natural~
After the revision surgery, I heard “Did you have eye surgery?” from people so many times! Hearing that my eyes are pretty was a bonus~ I was really worried about the swelling and whether I’d get sausage eyes again, so I agonized a lot before deciding on surgery. My eyes are okay now too, so what if I do it and it turns out badly.. But when I look at the before/after photos from the revision surgery, I really think I would have regretted it more if I hadn’t done it.
