As the title says, I didn’t use an app camera. I didn’t use a filter either, and I took these with the rear camera on my phone’s basic camera app. You all know asymmetry looks no joke when you take photos with the rear camera, right.ㅎ If it looks this good with the rear camera, my nose looks even straighter in selfies~^^ I think this is the first time I’ve taken a photo looking straight at the front of my face since rhinoplasty.
Those who know from my ID will know. When I was preparing for my 5th rhinoplasty revision, I practically lived in this community. Rather than dissatisfaction with the shape, I was looking into revision surgery because of correction of a deviated nose and nostrils.
After working hard and going around for consultations, I had my 5th revision surgery last year. After the revision surgery, I lived without any problems.
But, once my nose was resolved, another complex became visible. Three months after rhinoplasty revision, I had a subnasal philtrum reduction. Even though the hospital told me not to and strongly discouraged me, saying it was still too soon, I did it. hahaha I also needed to keep wearing the nostril corrector longer, but I stopped after 3 months to have the philtrum reduction hahaha
The problem was, my nose tissue was already very damaged from the 5th surgery, and because I had the philtrum reduction, the Gore-Tex implant in my nose couldn’t settle and kept oozing fluid. I originally had L-shaped silicone in there, and a capsule formed around it, but that capsule had poor blood circulation and couldn’t be naturally absorbed, so fluid collected and the nasal bridge swelled.
At 9 months, the doctor looked at it and said I should stop suffering, remove it, and put it back in again.
So in the 3rd week of last month, through a closed approach, the Gore-Tex was removed, the capsule and scar tissue were scraped out, and 5 days later, Gore-Tex was put back in again through a closed approach. In the end, it was my 7th surgeryㅠㅠ My glabella is much lower than other people’s, and I have thin skin and a small nose, so we had to be careful from the starting point, but it came out naturally and well. The doctor didn’t get angry even once, took so much care of me, and I’m truly so grateful I don’t know what to doㅠㅠ
Still, after removing the capsule and scar tissue and putting the implant back in, there was almost no swelling, and it settled cleanly.
It’s day 14, but I can’t seem to take a good side-view photo. I enlarged it to show you as much detail as possible. I have to go out, so I’m taking photos and writing this in a hurry; I’ll post in more detail later.
