*Footwork consultation review for a first-time surgery for a male bulbous nose and short nose* (This was my first consultation itself. I was curious whether my nose was a good case.) (I booked appointments at two-hour intervals.) 1. ㅍㄴㅅ Their approach is to finish it in one go with autologous costal cartilage for a first surgery. I found them on YouTube, and this was the first rhinoplasty consultation clinic of my life. I visited at my reserved time and had the consultation without delay. They checked whether autologous costal cartilage could be used with an X-ray. The director pinpointed exactly what was needed and explained it, and designed in Photoshop how much would be possible. If it had not been autologous costal cartilage, I might have done it. The consultant pushed hard for same-day booking. After the consultation, they organized everything and sent it to me by KakaoTalk. They said it would be under general anesthesia, but there is no anesthesiology specialist listed on the website. However, the consultant told me there is an anesthesiology specialist. This part felt odd. (I couldn’t ask separately.) 2. ㄴㅇㄷ The clinic I had the highest expectations for. The director looked amazing in person, and the consultant was refined and very calm. No consultation delay. The front-desk staff were extremely kind.. Most of the staff seemed calm, but the consultant who did the final price consultation was high-energy. (No same-day booking pressure.) The consultant looked through all the photos I had prepared and listened very carefully. The consultant first explained things like CCTV and A/S, saying they were the most frequently asked questions. For the director’s consultation, after looking at the CT, he said my septal cartilage was small so rib cartilage would be needed, and because my skin is thick, he recommended autologous costal cartilage. He complimented my appearance endlessly. There were no unnecessary recommendations. I’m the type whose worry and anxiety are maxed out, and the director said if I was worried about those things, I shouldn’t have surgery. It wasn’t a blunt “Don’t do it!”; he talked through various things and reassured me. The director was very calm and seemed confident. There was no same-day booking pressure, and they actually told me to look around more before deciding. After the consultation, they organized everything and sent it to me by KakaoTalk. 3. ㄹㄱ The director appeared on Ask Anything, so this was the clinic I had the second-highest expectations for. No consultation delay. The consultant was kind, and from the start they proceeded on the assumption of autologous costal cartilage. I thought my forehead bone did not protrude much, but they immediately recommended custom silicone. When I laughed after hearing the price, they said if I used ready-made silicone, there would definitely be a step-off and it would look obvious. They showed me many before-and-after photos and explained carefully. Most of the reviews were for autologous costal cartilage and custom silicone. CCTV costs extra. The director’s consultation was the most meticulous. He measured angles and quantified things like how many mm for the nasal tip, then how many mm to reinforce the nasal bridge, etc. I trusted this the most. There was same-day booking pressure. They were proactive with price negotiation. After the consultation, they organized everything and sent it by KakaoTalk. The estimate was the most expensive. 4. ㅇㄷㅅ They have many reviews on Instagram Reels. Their aesthetic goal was the most similar to mine. There was no consultation delay, but there were some waiting clients. There were two consultants who looked experienced. They somehow felt trustworthy. Like a mom? An aunt? Something like that? There was also a petite-procedure director, so there were a fair number of clients. During the consultant consultation, they said that for donated costal cartilage, they receive good German-made material even among nearby clinics. They said they had worked at several clinics, but this director works quickly and carefully. The director’s consultation was very calm and ended quickly. He said I probably did not need alar reduction. Because autologous costal cartilage would feel burdensome for a first surgery, he recommended donated costal cartilage. There were no unnecessary add-ons at all. There was no separate KakaoTalk summary of the consultation, and I asked them to write it on a business card. No same-day pressure. 5. ㅁㄷㅇ They came up in my YouTube algorithm, so I booked. The director was exactly like on YouTube. They emphasized privacy. (Aftercare services like a shampoo station and skin care were good.) They strongly emphasized that it is a completely one-person clinic. The consultant kept showing before-and-after photos without much sincerity and pushed for same-day booking. (There was also an influencer.) The director recommended donated costal cartilage, simultaneous inner and outer alar reduction + osteotomy. I had not considered osteotomy at all, so it was somewhat unexpected. As various techniques were added, despite using donated costal cartilage, the price became higher than autologous costal cartilage. 6. ㄷㄷㅇ - Director Um@@ I heard in a community that Director Um is good with bulbous noses, so I went just to get a consultation. There was no consultation fee, no CT scan, and no waiting. The consultant looked young but joked that she was older than expected. She said she had worked there for a long time and had also had surgery with the director, then showed me before-and-after photos. She told me to consult at several places before deciding, wrote things down on paper, and packed it in an envelope for me. After the director finished harvesting autologous costal cartilage, he briefly visited the consultation room. Director Um touched my nasal bridge and nasal tip, then said that to make it look naturally glamorous, I would need 7 mm in the nasal bridge. He said my nasal tip stretched better than expected, so he thought the result would turn out well. In common, all the directors listened well and kept asking if I had any more questions. There was enough consultation time, but I kept forgetting things, so I couldn’t ask everything. Even when I added questions later by KakaoTalk, they all answered well.
