I had 3D cheekbone reduction surgery and, if I remember correctly, a Barbie-line nose surgery at a place called ㄷㄹX in my early 20s.
But ㅡㅡ the cheekbones didn’t go in at all, and there was asymmetry ㅡㅡ As for my nose, it became crooked, and every time I had revision surgery there, one week later they would manually peel off the crooked silicone implant, move it to a different position, then press it down to reattach it (it hurt so badly). I did that twice. Including the revisions, my nose was touched five times in total. But the result is still crooked, and it moves around inside the silicone. It goes this way and that way, and whenever I force it into place and press it down, it stays there for a day or two. ㅡ My nose was stressful enough, but what stressed me out most was that even after surgery for cheekbone asymmetry, there was no effect and the cheekbones were still protruding..
So now, in my late 20s, I decided on revision surgery and was considering three places: ㅇㅇX, ㅍㅇㅅㄹX, and ㅈㅇㅇX. Out of those, I only went to consultations at ㅇㅇX and ㅍㅇㅅㄹX. That’s because at ㅇㅇX they gave me a quote, but the consultant said that if I didn’t pay a reservation deposit, they would only keep that price for me. If I didn’t put down the deposit that day, even if I had surgery there later, I wouldn’t be able to get that price. At ㅍㅇㅅㄹX first. There, too, the consultant told me to put down a deposit. Is that how it is everywhere these days??
At the ㅍㅇㅅㄹX consultation, they said with confidence that they could definitely reduce the cheekbones. They also said my face is on the long side, I have a bit of a recessed chin tendency, and there is asymmetry, so I would need genioplasty and double jaw surgery.
At ㅇㅇX, they looked at the cheekbone condition with a CT scan and said the cheekbone surgery was fixed well, but it seemed like it had been done by an inexperienced surgeon. They asked me whether the cheekbones had not reduced at all, and I said yes. (Seriously, I want to find the doctor who did my first surgery and protest alone even now. That jerk ㅡㅡ It was a female doctor.) Anyway, they didn’t talk about double jaw surgery there. They said to do cheekbone revision surgery and, since I have a recessed chin, do genioplasty, and use AccuSculpt to reduce the double chin fat. They also said combining square jaw surgery and a long curve could be effective.
I agonized over these two hospitals a lot. In my opinion, I’m not a face that absolutely needs double jaw surgery, but if I did it, I thought it would change dramatically. If I did contouring with 3 procedures, I thought it would improve naturally rather than dramatically. After thinking about it for a day, I was scared of double jaw surgery and the recovery period was too long, so I decided to have surgery at ㅇㅇX hospital..
Anyway, it has been 12 days since my revision surgery now.. During this time, I lived thinking that there was nothing I could do about my face with plastic surgery.
At the first hospital, they said my original cheekbones protruded a lot, my bones were thick, and this was the maximum they could bring them in. They also said asymmetry is something everyone has a little bit of by nature....
But after the revision surgery, even though it’s still too early to judge the results at day 12 and the swelling hasn’t fully gone down, my face has become much smaller and the lines are much cleaner. It’s hard to say it’s dramatically different, but it feels like my face has naturally become smaller. My forehead always looked wide, but as a bonus my forehead no longer seems wide. In the morning, because of the swelling, I can’t really tell what has changed, but by evening the swelling goes down quite a bit and when I look in the mirror I’m like, wow.... I’m stressed in the morning and happy in the evening haha. I didn’t know the difference between morning and evening could be this drastic. I do tend to swell easily, but I’m curious if other people are like that too;; If my morning face were the final result, I wouldn’t have the confidence to live in this world.. Anyway, honestly after surgery I looked at the cafes and regretted not researching the hospitals more and not looking around more, but remembering my first surgery at ㄷㄹX, whew~~ I really met a miracle doctor haha. Even so, I’m not 100% satisfied yet. If I had to rate my satisfaction, I think it’s about 6.5 out of 10. Since it’s still swollen, it’s hard to tell what the jaw area will be like, so later when the swelling is fully gone at around 2 to 3 months, I’ll post another review then. It’s a very long post, but thank you to everyone who read it.
