The last clinic I visited! My situation: - Early 2012: natural adhesion + ptosis correction + medial canthoplasty > around the beginning of this year, the left eye fold loosened - Narrow space between eyes and eyebrows / horizontally long eyes + good eye size (I heard this during consultations)
Consultation results so far: - Buried suture possible; incision recommended if I was afraid of loosening (2 clinics) - Incision only possible (2 clinics) - Buried suture recommended (1 clinic) - Ptosis correction needed (2 clinics), not needed (3 clinics) - Told to get a forehead lift later (4 clinics ʚ̴̶̷̆ ̯ʚ̴̶̷̆) - Remove fat (2 clinics), no fat to remove (1 clinic) <- This confused me the most - Get an upper canthoplasty (1 clinic), no canthoplasty needed (4 clinics)
What I want: - A natural line - I don’t mind if it becomes an inner double-eyelid later; what matters to me is having a double-eyelid fold
This may be my last consultation review! I was so confused from visiting clinics that I concluded I might as well live with uneven eyes, but I wanted to visit [Clinic A] once because I was somehow drawn to it. Even making the appointment was difficult; I had never experienced such a long gap between the reservation call and the appointment date.
On a weekday evening, it took less than an hour from entering to leaving the clinic, and the consultation itself took longer than the wait. The wait felt like 10–15 minutes, and I wasn’t bored. The order was photos > coordinator > surgeon > coordinator.
It was unusual that the coordinator set the line first, but she did not interfere with the surgical method and did not make any other recommendations. The surgeon came in, set the line himself (many times), touched above my eyes, viewed them from a distance as well (3–4 times), spent some time examining them, and then showed me the line he had set. Using the photos, he drew the eye structure, surgical method, and line position over them while explaining.
Because the space between my eyes and eyebrows is narrow, he said it would be better to make the line only slightly higher than the side that has not loosened (in-out). He may adjust it again in the operating room, but he tended to recommend lines no higher than what would feel burdensome to me. If your eye structure is similar to mine and you want a natural result, it may be worth visiting.
I asked based on the conclusions from previous clinics: - Ptosis correction needed? > Not needed. He also set and showed me what it would look like with correction, and I was very scared. - Canthoplasty needed? > Where would you open it further? - Fat removal? > There is no fat in the eyes; even if there were, it would be very little. This is all skin (T_T). - I was told buried sutures would loosen within a year > Since the previous result lasted a long time, he said buried sutures might be worth trying even for revision surgery.
So what was the conclusion? Removal of the existing sutures + buried sutures only recommended > standard price in the mid-2-million-won range > low 2-million-won range if I provide before-and-after photos > high 1-million-won range for same-day booking > deposit 100,000 won, fully refundable until one week before surgery.
So I paid the deposit and left. The way he explained things based on my eye structure reminded me of what I had heard on [Brand A]’s YouTube channel, so I recommend it if you want that kind of consultation!
I’m still deliberating over whether to do it, but this clinic suddenly made me want revision surgery! If anyone here has had revision surgery there, please share your review ♡
