I escaped monolids and sleepy-looking eyes: Cookie Plastic Surgery’s natural adhesion and ptosis correction (first double-eyelid surgery)

Honestly, my eyes were not particularly large, so I did want eye surgery, but I was not sure. An acquaintance had double-eyelid surgery and it turned out really well, so I asked and found out they had it done at [Clinic A]. I added it to my list and looked up more reviews, and many people said they create lines suited to each eye structure without unnecessarily pushing extra procedures. Since it was my first eye surgery, I was nervous during the consultation. I told Dr. Bae Ju-young that my dream was to make my eyes look bigger, so I absolutely wanted a dramatic semi-out line, and because I was enthusiastic, I even insisted on opening every possible corner. The doctor listened and then firmly talked me out of it lol. They said that even without canthoplasty, correcting the ptosis and doing buried-suture double-eyelid surgery would address the areas I was insecure about. Instead, the doctor carefully designed the line based on how much of my pupils would be exposed. Since my eye-opening strength was weak and my eyes looked sleepy, the doctor held my forehead and let me feel how my eyes would open after ptosis correction. There was no unnecessary talk; it felt like they only said what needed to be said. Maybe because it was natural adhesion, I had much less swelling and bruising after surgery than I expected. I walked a lot and used cold compresses while looking in the mirror, and even before the swelling had fully gone down, I could see that the double-eyelid lines on both sides were perfectly symmetrical, so I thought it had turned out well haha. It has been about two months now, and my eyes have settled beautifully without any sausage-like appearance or obvious pinching marks T_T. People who saw me after a long time thought my features had become more defined because I had lost weight, not that my double-eyelid surgery had gone wrong and looked unnaturally lifted lol. With makeup, contact lenses, and mascara, I look like a different person lol. I’m currently doing a funeral ceremony for my old pre-surgery photos haha. I worried so much about ruining my first eye surgery, but I’m so glad I listened to Dr. Bae and did not insist on every canthoplasty procedure!
