Eye Surgery Considerations

Please look at my forehead lift at [Clinic B]!! (4 weeks)

I tended to use my forehead muscles a lot when opening my eyes, and I was concerned that my eyelids were thick, making the double-eyelid line I had done previously almost invisible. I considered revision double-eyelid surgery, but rather than simply recreating the line, I wanted to improve the heaviness around my eyes while maintaining my existing impression naturally. After comparing consultations and surgical methods at several hospitals, I decided to have a tunnel-based forehead lift from Dr. Park Chan-young at [Clinic B]. On the day of surgery I was nervous, but the pain was not as severe as expected, and I mainly felt tightness in my forehead and scalp. During the first week, the swelling and bruising changed gradually, but they subsided quickly over time. By the second week, even with light makeup, it was almost impossible to tell I had surgery, and daily life was not greatly inconvenient. I am currently waiting for sensation in my forehead and scalp to fully return. The most satisfying point after surgery is that not only my eye area but also the proportions and overall mood of my face have changed. Before, my eyelids looked heavy and I was conscious of the empty space in my face, but now the area around my eyes looks much more open and defined, and the overall balance feels better. Most importantly, my impression has not changed drastically or looked artificial; I am satisfied that only the parts I had been unhappy with were naturally improved. These days, I feel happy whenever I notice my changed eye shape while looking in the mirror or applying makeup. I also realized that a change I thought was small can have a surprisingly large effect on the overall impression. People around me say I look natural enough that it is not obvious I had surgery, so I feel no burden, and my own satisfaction and confidence have increased. Recovery is not finished yet, but so far I feel I made the right decision, and I look forward to seeing it settle even more naturally with time.
