Late 40s. Natural double eyelids. Eyes on the larger side. I have drooping eyes, and when I take photos my eyes no longer look big and my double eyelids do not show. At a plastic surgery clinic I went to with a friend, I suddenly heard that brow lift surgery might be good for me, and from then on I thought I should visit other clinics too.
1. ㅇ ㅇ ㅌ This place was not recommended by this community, but someone said it was famous for eye surgery, so I made an appointment and went. No consultation fee. There were no clients, but they made me wait quite a while, so I thought it was strange. (Is plastic surgery usually like that?)
After consulting with the consultant, I consulted with the director, but he spoke so long-windedly that in the end I had to ask several times what exactly I was supposed to do and what he meant. In the end, he said he recommended a forehead lift. I had never thought about a forehead lift and considered it a major surgery, so I came home feeling depressed.
After that, I searched in this community and narrowed it down to three more places.
2. ㅅ ㅅ ㅇ They said they specialize in eye surgery. No consultation fee, there were a few clients, and compared with that the waiting time was short.
Consultation with the consultant: immediately recommended upper blepharoplasty. She also pointed out the slightly sunken area above my eyes. She was kind and explained things in an organized way, so I understood well. Consultation with the director: recommended upper blepharoplasty + fat grafting. Since the area above my eyes is a little sunken, fat grafting would also be good, and because my eyes and eyebrows are not very far apart, brow lift surgery was not recommended. I had never thought about fat grafting, but I wondered if getting rid of the hollowness might make me look a little less aged. He showed me how my double eyelids would look on my eyes if I had upper blepharoplasty, saying, “This is what it would be like,” but I did not like it much. (I tend not to like having a lot of double-eyelid fold.) Still, fat grafting also seemed like it might be a good idea, so I was confused.
Then a second consultation with the consultant: the cost came out three times higher than I expected. She showed me eye photos from reviews of fat grafting + upper blepharoplasty. There seemed to be many photos, and because the consultant spoke so well, I was tempted. But the high cost bothered me, and being told to have double-eyelid surgery scared me most because I worried my impression might change.
After coming home and searching on Naver, I found that one of the photos they had shown me was exactly the same as a review from another clinic. I cannot know whether that clinic used another clinic’s photo or the other clinic used theirs, but anyway, thinking that clinics are reusing review photos made me feel they cannot be trusted.

Consultation with the consultant, then consultation with the director: as many people said, he was very kind. He measured my eye size this way and that for quite a long time in various ways, and I was surprised when he memorized about six different eye-size measurements and wrote them on the chart. I thought, he must be smart lol. As I had thought, he said a lower brow lift would probably be good. He said that if I had upper blepharoplasty, my eyes would probably look more intense. About brow lift surgery returning to the original state after two years, he said that since it is a surgery that has been around for 10 years and he has done many cases, cutting out a little more boldly is one method. He said I would have to choose between whether I wanted it to look natural from the beginning or look a little awkward at first but become natural later, and from that point my head started hurting again.
Post-consultation with the consultant: the price came out around what I had expected. Under 1.5 million. I wanted to see brow-lift review photos, but I did not ask about that. ㅜㅠ She said they have CCTV. She said the director has a lot of experience. It seemed that way. A sense of trust.
But after coming home and searching, now I am worried about scars from brow lift surgery again....
