Hello, this is my first time writing a post I will write about the most important first week after nose surgery! Please use it as a reference if you are looking into nose surgery!
Day 1 Blood kept dripping, and the gauze got soaked. But I was not allowed to change it myself. It did not hurt, but there was a throbbing feeling. Both sides of my nose were blocked, so breathing was very hard. Sleeping was hard too
Day 2 I could not sleep because it hurt from early dawn. When I woke up in the morning, my eyes were very swollen My eyes kept tearing up. I still slightly felt blood flowing They removed the cotton and disinfected it. Taking out the cotton felt more refreshing than painful The ear cartilage area hurt more. My face was very swollen, and my left eye was red like blood had pooled in it. After removing the cotton from my nose, the pain seemed less. Even after taking out the cotton, I still could not breathe well. My nose was blocked. Nosebleed or nasal discharge kept flowing little by little
Day 3 The nasal discharge decreased, but it was still hard to breathe through my nose My face got even more swollen. There was no pain at all, only a tight feeling because of the swelling. The swelling was gradually going down. My nose was still blocked When I asked the hospital, they said nasal congestion can naturally happen. There was a very slight, really slight throbbing feeling
Day 4 My nose opened up very slightly. There was no pain at all, just a slight throbbing? feeling. The stitched area under my nose hurt a little. The swelling went down a lot. The bruises turned yellow
Days 5-6 The swelling went down a lot. I do not think there would be any problem with daily life at all There was a slight foreign-body sensation in my nose, but not enough to be uncomfortable, and the stitched area under my nose still stung a little. It was okay when standing, but when lying down, my nose got very blocked
Day 7 Got the stitches removed. It really hurts. It hurts a lot. It feels like my skin is being torn off. My side profile is okay, but from the front I look like Avatar, and my nasal tip is also chubby. Somehow it feels like someone is gripping it tightly. My nasal tip is so hard that I worry whether this swelling will go down... When I touch the silicone, it moves slightly left and right, so I should not touch it
That is the first week for now! I will write separately about what happens after that
