At the time, there was no consultation with a doctor, only with the manager.
The surgery cost was about 1 million won, and they also prescribed one month of diet medication. After the surgery, when I woke up from anesthesia, I had a bad feeling that the back of my right arm had not been suctioned enough. When I took the bandage off at home and looked in the mirror, I thought the lines of both arms were uneven, but I also thought there was still IV fluid inside and maybe it might turn out well. But after liposuction, I realized that no matter how much fluid remains, the line before swelling is the line that remains after the swelling goes down.
I do think doctors are human too, so they can make mistakes and have shortcomings. Maybe the right arm can be slightly thicker. In the photo, the area above the right elbow is deeply sunken, and the bulge on the back of the arm, often called a chicken-leg shape, sticks out, so the line does not look good. When I went at 4 months, they said I needed to wait at least a year, and when it was almost a year, I booked another consultation to show my progress and went in. They said my attending doctor had resigned. The doctor who operated on me was not there, only the manager, so I showed her my arm and told her to touch it, and she did partly acknowledge that fat remained on my right arm. On the day of surgery, they said a female director would be assigned to me, but then I went in to be designed by a male director, so my trust was broken once then. Still, it would have been fine if the result had been good, but when I said my arms ended up this uneven, they said that female director had also resigned. Ah, doctors seem to change quite often here.
When I first brought up retouching, they said I had to pay 330,000 won for anesthesia. Then they changed their words again, saying they had mistaken it and that I had to pay 550,000 won. I said the anesthesia fee was too expensive, it is not just 100,000-200,000 won, and I did not do anything wrong, so why should I have to pay that kind of additional cost? Then they said they would speak to higher-ups. In the evening, I got a call saying they showed the photos to the department head, and it did not look like there was a problem, so if I wanted surgery again, I should pay 1.1 million won as a revision surgery fee. The first surgery fee for both arms was 1 million won, but now they are telling me to pay 1.1 million won for only one arm as a revision. They are charging a revision fee to someone who had the surgery at their own hospital. And then they said if I do not raise my arms, you cannot really tell, and they look similar. Then why do arm surgery at all? You cannot see it when wearing clothes anyway, right? Isn't it done for self-satisfaction? I am even more furious because the manager who consulted me keeps changing her words. A person says one thing and then another. When you go for consultations, avoid places where you only consult with a manager without a doctor's consultation. Avoid pay doctors too. Writing this has made me even angrier tonight.
