5 years ago, I had incisional double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction under sedation, using the line I used to make with double-eyelid glue. After my first double eyelid surgery, all my friends around me asked where I got it done and said it looked really natural, and there were almost no surgical scars or marks. But because of asymmetry + my desire for the line to be just a little higher, I had a revision 6 months later with the same director, free of charge, using an incisional method under sedation. After the revision, I’m satisfied because the line symmetry is almost even, but raising the line just a tiny bit is the problem. When I take front-facing selfies, it’s the glamorous, high in-out line I wanted, but the moment I take a photo with the rear camera, it immediately becomes sausage eyes that look like they need ptosis correction. Even though I had ptosis correction lol. And because the double eyelid became thicker, it’s a bit hard to open my eyes Compared with the first surgery, the scar is also quite noticeable (objectively it’s not severe, but the first surgery had almost no scar and looked so natural), and when I close my eyes the line is a bit bumpy Like in the photo, the double eyelid folds in a rounded way? (When I had a revision consultation at another hospital, they said it was a scar.) I wonder how it could be this different just from raising the line a little, and the quality is so different from the first surgery that I even wondered if they brought in some other beginner doctor to operate while I was asleep.. After the revision, I often regret it and think I should have only corrected the asymmetry and not raised the height. Of course, since I raised the line out of my own greed, I can’t blame the director, but I do think they should have tried to stop me a bit and said not to raise the line during the revision.. Also, the double eyelid line design wasn’t done in the director’s room during the final consultation before surgery; it was done after I was lying on the operating table with my arms and legs all tied down and fixed, and they didn’t even show it to me.. So for the revision I said I wanted to see the line design, but just like during the first surgery, they designed it while I was lying on the operating table with my arms and legs all fixed, and only showed me a mirror at the end. The first surgery turned out really well, so 3 years ago I got epicanthoplasty from the same director. But maybe because I didn’t do it together with the double eyelid surgery, and only did the epicanthoplasty separately after the double eyelid surgery, I feel like the epicanthoplasty and double eyelid don’t quite go together.
