((Why I had revision surgery)) I had my first surgery with Mentor Smooth 8 years ago (almost 9 years ago), but due to sudden capsular contracture, I had no choice but to go through with revision surgery. I joined a side-effects community and got information, and I also struggled with the impulse to remove the implants, but in the end, I decided on revision surgery. (Reason: I wasn’t confident I could handle the sense of loss, and I was satisfied with the size) ((Looking into clinics)) This community was also very helpful, but I also found it helpful to look at ㅇㅇㅇ and ㄱㅇㅅ communities. ㅇㅇㅇ has a lot of brokers and promotional posts, but it also has a lot of positive informational posts? (successful reviews), so if you filter out what needs filtering and look through it on your own, you can browse comfortably (there are also a lot, a lot of photos). ㄱㅇㅅ has the advantage of giving you truly invaluable information, but since it was originally a community for sharing side effects, there are more posts with negative information, so honestly, I’d recommend that people who are mentally vulnerable not enter it. You can get emotionally pulled in a lot. (My personal experience. There’s also plenty of honest information in this community…… haha) Anyway, after filtering and narrowing down the information, I went for consultations at three places (2 breast surgery clinics, 1 clinic with breast surgery collaboration), and I ultimately had the surgery at ㄱㄹ Surgery. Reason: First of all, the consultation with the manager moved me the most, and I liked the hospital’s postoperative care system the best. After having surgery once, I saw a lot of hospitals that just set up a few roughly decent aftercare options and say, “We take good care of you~ It’s well organized,” but in the end, after surgery, if you want to receive that care, many places make you wait weeks for an appointment and make a fuss. Here, without any of that, they even had massage chairs, and it seemed like they cared about and looked after patients ‘after’ surgery more than patients ‘before’ surgery, so I felt sure and decided to have it done there. ((Recovery)) I switched from Mentor Smooth to Motiva, but the implant cc was the same (300 cc). But I had no pain at all. I’m not lying, even on the day of surgery, if it weren’t for nausea from general anesthesia and a sore throat, just considering my condition after surgery, I felt like I could have gone outside and walked around. On days 2-3 as well, I lived at home perfectly fine, like someone who hadn’t had surgery. I was planning to rest and recuperate a bit, but my body felt so okay that I just became someone hanging around at home. When I first had breast surgery before, I think even looking at my phone was hard, but after this revision surgery, I’ve been living super comfortably.. When I searched, it seems most revision surgeries are like that, maybe because the breast pocket is already opened and the skin has stretched? ((Feel, swelling, satisfaction)) It’s been 2 months, and most of the swelling seems to have gone down. The shape also seems to have settled quickly. As for the feel, when I touch them, they’re already soft and squishy now, but I think they’ll be even better once they loosen up more. As someone who has had both Mentor Smooth and Motiva, I honestly don’t really feel a difference in texture… When you actually knead the implant itself in your palm, the difference feels quite noticeable, but once it’s inside the body, there isn’t really that kind of difference. People say Motiva is less soft, but am I just insensitive? I really can’t tell at all. It might also feel that way because the capsular contracture had made the texture feel awful. Now that the capsule has all been removed too, it’s much softer and better.. Very satisfied. I think it was absolutely the right decision not to remove them!!!
