A Nose Surgery Review Written Like a Diary

Reason I decided to have surgery Small nose, low nose bridge. When seen from the side, my nasal bridge was so low that you could see the eye on the other side, and my midface was sunken in, making my mouth look protruded. My nasolabial angle looked almost around 60 degrees... Because my nose was small, I did not even think about raising it very high, and I ended up having surgery at a place that does natural-looking results. (Septal cartilage, ear cartilage, and silicone were used) (Day of surgery) I was so nervous and scared that my BPM hit 160, and I went into surgery trembling like an aspen leaf. The nurse kept holding my hand until the surgery was over, and I am still so grateful for that. After surgery, they supported me and I walked to the recovery room, but my throat was seriously so dry.. While I was getting IV fluids, I finished two bottles of water, bought porridge, and went home. My nose felt extremely hot, I could not breathe because of the nasal packing, and I had not eaten a single meal until 5 o'clock, so I had no strength. I barely managed to eat three spoonfuls of porridge, took my medicine, and got ready to sleep. Trying to sleep with three pillows stacked up high was so uncomfortable, and my mouth was dry and parched, so it felt like I woke up every 30 minutes, drank water, slept again, and repeated that. I slept with the humidifier set to 70%, but it was useless... If even a little blood rushed to my nose it hurt, so I was careful even when coughing or moving my head. (Day after surgery) Sleeping was hard, so I got up from 6 a.m. and just sat there. My eyes were so swollen that I could not open them, and I had so much eye discharge. I had no strength to eat, so I just drank one pack of soy milk and took my medicine. At the hospital, they removed the nasal packing, and the refreshing feeling only lasted for a moment.. It got blocked right away because of nasal discharge. After the packing was removed, the heat sensation was seriously no joke. It felt like there was another heart beating inside my nose.. It hurt, throbbed, I felt dizzy, and I felt like I was dying. As soon as I left the hospital, I felt nauseous, threw up, then went home and rested. (I think it was because I took medicine on an empty stomach..) (Day 3) My nose was still blocked, and because I kept breathing through my mouth, my lips were completely dry and I could not sleep properly.. From this point on, I went for walks and did 10,000 steps a day. For the wound behind my ear where cartilage was harvested, I applied ointment and changed the bandage every other day, and I also applied ointment to the columella incision area 3-4 times a day. My ear started hurting more than my nose.. They recommended sleeping on my back, but the ear on the right side where cartilage was harvested hurt, so I slept on my left side I diligently did cold compresses until day 3, and after that they told me to do warm compresses, but I did not. (Day of splint and stitch removal) Stitch removal did not hurt at all. After removing the splint, they cleaned my nasal bridge and the inside of my nose, and that hurt more. My nasal bridge and nasal tip hurt even if they were brushed slightly.. Sensation has not fully returned to my ear. When I touch the tip of my ear, it feels numb and tingling. They said I could start applying scar ointment from tomorrow... so I plan to apply it morning and night. My nose is swollen and bulky like Avatar, and the bruising is seriously so bad that I think I will have to wear a mask for a long time.
