Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

Facial contouring failure in my early 20s

<Before surgery><Now>(This post was written based on the “consumer rights” guaranteed by our Constitution and the Framework Act on Consumers, and I would like to state that it has no purpose of defaming the above medical institution beyond sharing information and helping other patients.) In August 2023, I had 2.5 types of facial contouring surgery (cheekbones, long-curve square jaw reduction) at a plastic surgery clinic near Nonhyeon Station that was popular for facial contouring. During the consultation, they said they could improve asymmetry by shaving from the square jaw to the chin tip without pins, which set them apart from other clinics, and the reviews were good, so I chose this place. On the day the splint was removed after surgery, my jawline was sunken like in the photo. During the follow-up, the director told me not to worry and that it would get better once the swelling went down, so I trusted him and waited. But as time passed and the swelling went down more and more, the indentation became even worse. At the 1-year follow-up, the director said to wait another 6 months and that we could try filling the sunken area with filler or fat grafting. It has now been 1 year and 6 months since the surgery, but my jaw is still uneven and sunken, and from my lower lip to the tip of my chin, it feels dull and heavy all day as if it has been anesthetized, so it doesn’t feel like my own flesh. Since the surgery, I’ve avoided meeting acquaintances and friends, and I’m so depressed that I can’t focus on my work... I went through such a painful process and spent so much money and time, but with the result like this, I feel miserable and at a loss
