Six-Month Cheekbone Review. Personal Thoughts

First of all, my cheekbones were quite severe, so compared with my previous face, I’m very satisfied with my cheekbones.

My impression definitely changed, and when I look at old photos, I’m startled by my cheekbones. Since the method is to push them inward, the 45-degree area was reduced a lot. If someone with small cheekbones does it, they might feel their face has become too flat..

As the volume that had existed because of my previous cheekbones decreased, I do feel a slight amount of sagging in the empty space where the cheekbones were. (It’s not that the elasticity of the flesh itself has decreased, but because the area that used to protrude due to the cheekbones became flat, the remaining skin is a bit like it lost somewhere to go..? I think people who have had the surgery will understand this.)

For 2 months after surgery, I avoided chewing whenever possible, cut everything up with scissors, and mostly ate things like soft tofu and steamed eggs.

Currently, my mouth does not open as wide as before. (Because I deliberately tried not to open it for several months, it does not open as wide as before, and sometimes when I yawn widely, it feels uncomfortable to open my mouth wide. I don’t really feel like my cheekbones are going to burst when I yawn or anything like that. Other than yawning, there is no major discomfort with opening my mouth.)

The surgical incision was really small, and now it is not noticeable at all (I did not apply regeneration ointment). The Indian dimple is less than at first, but it is still there.

Recently, I had a CT scan at the hospital. When I touch it, it feels firmly in place, and pain is occasionally a dull aching stiffness. The director said it had healed well on CT, but personally I felt the detailed explanation was insufficient. Looking at the CT image as someone who can’t read it well, to me it looked like it was well positioned in place with no gap.

<Conclusion> I think the risk is lower instead of the effect being less dramatic. I don’t feel any immediate, direct cheek sagging. It just feels like the empty space where the cheekbone was is kind of drooping sadly?

Just because it’s “soft” doesn’t mean there is no hardship. It may be less than a major surgery, but aftercare is hard no matter what.

If you want a dramatic effect and are confident you can accept the risk, I also recommend doing it somewhere else.

If you want to feel that your face shape has become naturally softer than before to some extent, and want lower risk (I think you have to manage it diligently like I did; I didn’t chew for 2 months), then I recommend it.
