<Day 5><Day 9><Around one month>I got revision rhinoplasty this time, so I’m writing a review I’m just rambling as things come to mind, so read only the parts you need I had my first surgery in 2018, but from the 1-year mark it gradually got shorter, and from year 2 it got even shorter I hated how I had no nasal bridge, so I had surgery last month Since I have to start this thing called going to work from February, I needed to finish the surgery and treatment before then so I moved quickly I narrowed down clinics while lurking on the GangX app and in a community I was diagnosed with asthma last spring and have been using an inhaler (Symbicort Turbuhaler), so since that was an uncertain factor, I went for in-person consultations to narrow things down a second time, checking whether there was a place that could take even that into account and operate well After going around to a certain extent, I could roughly tell which clinics didn’t fit me, yeah; Any place where they consult with dead-fish eyes is just out from the start Those eyes where you can’t tell whether they’re listening to you or what, and they talk so damn fast it honestly feels like a listening test; After experiencing failed consultations at several places, I got so exhausted that I thought I’d just go to a few more and stop, but I found it among those few The place I went to was Finish, and even though I had an appointment, I had to wait a bit first You can’t go in right away; a few people are waiting But once I had the consultation, I understood why The director really consults for a long time. I think he saw me for about 30 minutes And it wasn’t just long, rambling talk I go once a month to check the course of my asthma, I take medication because of the asthma, and because of work it would be hard to go for follow-ups regularly, so I asked a bunch of things At other clinics, I could clearly feel them showing that they were annoyed, but here, the way he answered with his eyes sparkling made him seem like a real nose expert, so I thought if it was a director like this, I could entrust my body to him, and I booked the surgery Because I take medication, I stopped it from 5 days before and had surgery On the day of surgery, I didn’t take a car; I took the subway After I arrived, I filled out my information and went into surgery prep Before anesthesia, the director explained the surgical plan and design once again Up until then I wasn’t that nervous, but once I actually went in, I did tremble a bit Still, after anesthesia, when I woke up, everything was already over I think it took about 3 and a half hours, and after getting my prescription I took a taxi home When I first went after surgery to have the cotton removed, I teared up a little during removal I can endure up to two times through sheer will, but how do people who do it three times manage? Still, the moment I could breathe, it felt like I’d gotten the world back, so it was really nice I think the swelling was still there until day 7, but after some time passed it gradually got better Now that it’s almost been a month, it seems mostly stable I’m extremely satisfied because it doesn’t look too obviously surgical and I like the nose shape Thinking back to my first surgery, I feel like I did well getting revision surgery I was worried because of the asthma part, but there wasn’t much issue with it, and I’ve just returned to daily life too If you’re thinking about revision rhinoplasty, I hope you visit multiple clinics and don’t force yourself to choose from clinics you don’t like just because it’s annoying I think everyone knows to look at the director’s style and method, and you also need to know your own physical condition well The places we go to for consultations are not university hospitals, so we have to tell them In conclusion, going to several consultations was tiring, but I learned why aesthetic sense is important, and it was a choice I’m satisfied with, including the aftercare (I was worried because I saw that some people had a lot of complaints about the manager in charge, but fortunately? Maybe I met the right person, because they answered well and were easy to contact) I started going to work this week, and that’ll probably be another war......
