<Before><Before ><Before><After><After><After>My first rhinoplasty was done with silicone, but recently I could see a foreign-body sensation from the implant inside, a step-off/depression on the nasal bridge, so I went to an ENT clinic. The doctor examined me and said there was inflammation inside. I was told it would be better to go to a plastic surgery clinic, tell them inflammation had developed, and either have revision surgery or remove it, so I decided I should have revision rhinoplasty. I heard that for revision rhinoplasty, it’s better to go to a specialized clinic, and while looking into it, I found cases where both the nasal bridge and nasal tip were done without implants, so I chose a plastic surgery clinic. I had a consultation for revision surgery using autologous costal cartilage for the entire nasal tip and nasal bridge. During the consultation as well, and even after the revision rhinoplasty, the surgeon who operated on me basically explained things in detail and didn’t seem very bothered by questions? They also seemed confident in the surgery, so if anything, I felt like they preferred being asked questions. The response itself felt comfortable? Now that I’ve had revision surgery with autologous costal cartilage, my anxiety about inflammation is gone, so I feel reassured for now, but the swelling has not fully gone down yet, so I think I need to watch the situation a little longer.
