My nostrils themselves were upturned, so they didn’t look good even from the front, and my nasal bridge was low while my alar base was also wide, so I had always thought I wanted surgery. But since my nose had multiple issues, and when I looked around places like online communities, people said bulbous noses or upturned noses are difficult to correct and that many people end up getting revision surgery, I was really worried. So when I tried to find a place with the goal of correcting everything in one surgery, it was pretty difficult. This clinic is one I ended up visiting because, while reading reviews, I noticed they had especially many reviews for revision rhinoplasty. People around me also recommended it, saying it seemed good, and even if I didn’t necessarily get surgery, I wanted to at least have a consultation. The overall consultation atmosphere was friendly. The consultants were like that too, and the director examined me so carefully and sincerely that I felt like he didn’t overlook a single thing. He said silicone would be needed for the nasal bridge, and since my bridge was low, I completely understood. He explained everything in detail while looking at the CT, and while explaining various materials, he said autologous costal cartilage would likely be good for the nasal tip. At first, I was thinking of septal cartilage, or ear cartilage if anything additional was needed, but he said I didn’t have a particularly abundant amount of septal cartilage and that it might not be enough to shape the nasal tip. He said that to raise it properly, autologous costal cartilage would be needed, so I understood that too..! This place seems to do a lot of rhinoplasty using autologous costal cartilage, and maybe because of that, the estimate for autologous costal cartilage was on the cheaper side compared with the estimate for donated rib cartilage. From what the director said and the way he spoke, I got the feeling that he had performed many different types of surgeries? A sense of experience? That came through, so he felt trustworthy. I knew my nose was difficult too, but he pinpointed the parts I was anxious about and told me they could be improved like this, so I felt much more reassured. So in the end, I decided to have it done at that clinic. Now quite a bit of time has passed since surgery, and almost all the swelling has gone down. It has been 4 months. I especially like that the nostrils that looked upturned from the front and the deeply sunken nasal bridge from the side have been corrected. During the consultation, the director even explained the nasolabial angle and told me what should be done for it to look pretty, and it came out exactly in that shape, so I’m satisfied. Because the consultation was so detailed, from a patient’s perspective, I felt I could fully trust them and entrust my face to them, which is why I made the decision. In conclusion, I don’t regret my decision. People around me have responded well, so I’ve been telling a lot of them about the clinic!
