During the surgery, the doctor kept having trouble getting the ptosis correction to take, so they repeatedly tied it again with sutures, had me open my eyes, had me close them again, tied the sutures again, and kept repeating that process for a long time. It was terrifying, and I’m the type whose anesthesia wears off easily, so I even had to be re-anesthetized, and it hurt so much During my first surgery too, the anesthesia wore off and they had to do it again, so I guess my body just doesn’t respond well to anesthesia. So maybe the ptosis on one side was extremely severe, because that side took especially long and swelled a lot. Strangely, even though it’s swollen, the lines look similar and somehow symmetrical. After my first surgery, it was asymmetrical as soon as I came out. Even though I had already had ptosis correction before, my eyes felt tired, so I just lived thinking maybe it was due to aging. But strangely, after this surgery, even though my eyes are very swollen, I can open them so well and they feel refreshed. It feels like my field of vision has widened, and I thought, do ordinary people live opening their eyes this comfortably? lol All this time, I thought my eyes just needed the line lowered, but I think what I actually needed was proper ptosis correction. The doctor also said that if you only pull the auxiliary muscle instead of the main muscle and do the surgery with the buried-suture method, you end up with a case like mine, and that for people with severe ptosis, pulling the primary muscle from the beginning and doing the surgery by incision has a better functional prognosis. I’m too swollen right now, so I’ll upload just one photo. A surgery review paid out of pocket! It has been 18 hours since surgery. (I’m writing this happily because my eyes became so much more comfortable, without receiving any help from the hospital.)
