Review of under-eye fat removal surgery Because the eyes take up a large proportion of the face, I was always bothered by the under-eye fat that made me look tired or older. I tried covering it with makeup, but there were limits, so I eventually decided to have surgery. Pre-surgery preparation I heard Objet Plastic Surgery was famous for under-eye fat repositioning (I saw reviews in a community), so I went straight for a consultation, made a reservation, and had the surgery two months later. It was really popular. Dr. Jang Wook looked at the condition of my eyes and told me I did not need an incision (lower blepharoplasty) yet, and pointed out only the parts I really needed. He also said cheekbone-area fat grafting would make the result even better, but I did not do that because I felt resistant to the idea of a foreign-body sensation. There was absolutely no pressure, so I felt very comfortable. The surgery was done under sedation anesthesia. Since it had been a while since I had surgery, I was nervous, but there was no major pain, and thanks to the anesthesia, it ended without me feeling much of anything. The surgery itself took about 30 to 40 minutes, and afterward, after resting briefly, I took the subway home by myself. Recovery process Days 1-3: This was when the swelling was the worst. There was also slight bruising, but it was within the level I expected. I kept applying cold compresses consistently. Days 4-7: The swelling gradually went down, and the bruising also became lighter. It still was not completely natural yet, but I could clearly feel the difference. After week 2: People around me said something looked different, but they did not notice that I had surgery. My under-eye area definitely looked brighter, and the tired impression disappeared. It has been about a month since the surgery now, and I am very satisfied! My impression looks much clearer and more lively. Makeup applies better too, and I am so happy not to hear that I look tired anymore. If you are worried about under-eye fat, I recommend carefully getting consultations at clinics before deciding!
