About 4 years ago, I saw Director Hong Jin-joo of JJ Plastic Surgery, who was popular online, had a consultation, and underwent revision surgery. What felt strange while I was having the surgery was that I lay down in the operating room and an eye cover was placed over my eyes, but the doctor came in, did not say anything at all, and the surgery began. From the start of the surgery, through anesthesia, the procedure, and until it ended, I did not hear a single word from the doctor. It would have been nice if the surgery had gone well, but of course, asymmetry developed on both sides. After going through that situation, I started thinking that Director Hong may not have performed the surgery herself. Even large hospitals and hospitals said to be famous can certainly have proxy doctors perform procedures. In the end, since I had no power, about 2 years later I had only one side operated on again at that hospital because of the asymmetry. The result? The same asymmetry developed again. It was absurd. I started wondering how someone could be this lacking in skill. Since then, I have never given JJ another glance. Thinking about it, knowing a hospital you can trust seems like a huge advantage. I’m in a situation where I need revision eye surgery, and I’m really worried.
